Anyone care to make a wager that Beck will barely make it to 9/12 and then shortly there after go on "vacation" for about a month? The man sounds thisclose to completely losing what little grasp he has left on reality.

Last week on his TV "show," Beck had Limbaugh on for one segment. Both agreed that Obama and the Democrats suck, hate America, and want to kill Republicans, yadda yadda yadda.

But Limbaugh was generally positive, making the argument that Obama is destroying the Democratic Party and Republicans will be the beneficiaries in 2010 and beyond.

Beck would have none of Limbaugh's attempt to turn lemons into lemonade. Beck kept talking his fear of Obama and his fear of the bogeyman and his fear of this and his fear of that.

It was really telling in terms of how far down the rabbit hole the Glennmeister has gone. He makes Rush Limbaugh sound remarkably sane.

Beck wants them to come so he will get more publicity and higher ratings. He doesn't care about anything else.

Its a "Power" issue for Beck- he is trying to MAKE himself into some sort of historic figure ie MLK, Mandela, Ghandi, Moses ect ect by saving *his people* from the big bad Obama Administration. ALL Beck is and ALL Beck will ever be is a corp media loud mouth.

I agree, and I'm glad I am not the only one who thinks so. I wrote about this at my blog last night (debunkerhill.com). I think Beck has a Messiah complex and believes if he can incite some sort of violent action against the president or his administration, he will go down in history as an "important figure."

Our Father, who art on the radio
            Limbaugh be thy name
            thy government come
            thy rants be fulfilled
for the Democrats as well as the Republicans
give us this day our daily talking point
            and forgive Republicans their trespasses
but condemn Democrats for their lesser failures
lead us into thy fantasy world
and it's OK if you're Republican

for thine is the microphone, and transmitter and book deals

            amen

I'm a civil servant, a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, National Geographic and a member of my parish church. I used to be a member of the FEA and the NEA, but I left teaching. So far, if they have had any socialist meetings, I missed them, and I can't think of any of them wanting to snap the neck of the United States. I am still planning on going to the 9/12 Rally. I can get to D.C. I want to see for myself just who and what turns up at this thing. But I will bet it is a lot better organized than these evil liberals and socialists he keeps going on about.

Ep, oh please go, take pictures and keep us posted. Be careful not to convert, That Beck has a powerful voice and way of persuasion hahahha.

For someone that detests community organizers, he sure seems to be doing a lot of it lately.

What exactly is he imploring people to do? The sense of urgency in a non-election season seems to me like he's imploring for people to do something violent, rather than just take things to the polls.

Where have these people been for the last 40 years under a rock. Their tactics are the same as those used by the "John Birch Society" back in the 50s and 60s. Why are people still buying it and why has the main stream media picked it up and given it cred.

We can all make jokes about Beck, but he has a huge following who believe him. I swear he is inciting assassination ideas. Let's not take this kind of talk lightly. Sure he's a moron, we all know that, but we are not the ones he is talking to. He is dangerous and we will pay for that dearly over the next four years I fear.

I fear that you might be correct.

When engaging in this sort of rhetoric, talking about being enslaved, talking about fighting the "evil" out there, and so on, how does he expect people to not be enslaved? It's not an election year, or not even close really, and yet, here he his, talking about throwing them off of us.

It's pretty clear he's calling for revolt, but how, and by what mechanism is he calling for it? His rhetoric is heated, and passionate (if totally obtuse and illogical), and yes, there are some out there who believe Beck (we have one in our midst who claims most of what Beck says is proven by the facts he provides). And, violence, I think, could result.

You are correct as well. Beck knows exactly what he is doing. That's why he throws that "but never in anger" in there, so he can fall back on that. to cover his sorry a$$, when something horrible does happen.

I'm sorry, but Glenn is the most depressing and depressed man I've ever heard in radio and TV, yet he should be happy that he's earning more money than I will ever see in my lifetime.

Which goes to prove, once again, money doens't buy happiness.

That being said, I'd like to receive Glenn's salary for just 6 months, not even a year. I'm sure I could figure out how to make myself, and my family, happy.

But with monetary reward comes great responsibility.

You would have to continually deny that you are for either party (but mostly against the Democratic Party) and float conspiracies out there like knuckleballs. Are you prepared for that, soldier?

I really do believe that Beck is on the verge of totally losing his mind & I can't imagine how anyone takes his nonsensical conspiracy theories seriously. (Oh that's right, I forgot. His core audience is made up of wingnuts who are, by definition, brain dead rednecks.)
So go ahead Glenny and have your little 9-12 rallies where you and your fellow racist, reactionary pinheads can rant and rave over the big, bad commie take-over of America. Those of us who are sane will continue to laugh at you.
You know what Glenny? Since you fear a take-over of this country by Obama's henchmen--you know, ACORN and Americorps---why don't you and your fellow dweeds do a "Jonestown". You know, the whole poisoned Kool-Aid thing? It would be for the best. After all, you don't want to have to live in the mean old Stalinist State that Obama is planning do you? So go out in GLORY! Go for it big guy!
(You know, I really shouldn't be saying stuff like this. Someone may send it to Beck and he might think it is a swell idea!)

He'd never do it; you have to believe in what you're preaching to get the nerve to take it that far.

Here's the real test of what he inspires... Who of us (or his minions for that matter) would want him to have their back in a real war? Could you imagine having to rely on him to cover you while moving under fire?
