I have this sneeking suspicion that he is trying to get fired... Maybe part of his "Beholden to no one." comment.

It's ok... at least it wasn't broadcast on television like the typos in the clip:

          "dicriminate"
          "all to often"

I love that Murdoch is too cheap to get anyone at his network Spell Check. Constant misspellings, among other things...

Off topic, but did anyone see the running chyron on one of the morning clips? They're still calling them "homicide bombers".

I found this entire clip demonstrates total laziness at Fox.

Misspellings in the text. A whole portion for John Holdren's "robot" not typed out like the other McCarthyist portrayals of Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, and Mark Lloyd (I think...damned if I can read the names).

Worst of all, to hear Beck accuse the government of propaganda...Beck, who do you think you're working for?

"I, for one, welcome our new robot czar overlords"

From the second quote of Van Jones: "you have to be creative about how you engage the enemy, because if you do it on his terms, the outcome is already known"

MUST be a Commie, because that sounds like a quote from The Art of War by Sun Tzu, and we know that Chinese are Commies (never mind that Sun Tzu wrote it in about 500 BCE)

Also, never mind that most of, if not all of the great military leaders in our own country's history make this required reading for folks under their commands. The Colonel that I work for now, talks about The Art of War ALL OF THE TIME.

He must be a commie too.

Once he gets on a topic, he just won't let it go will he?

And the guy he's quoting there on the screen shot, he's not the "diversity" Czar, he works for the FCC.

Bush had over 20 Czars Beck, and not a peep from you about those, or anyone else from the right, not a peep. But lo and behold, Obama takes office, and you guys re-discover that, GASP! The President has advisers!! OH NO! THE AMERICA I KNOW AND LOVE IS ENDING RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES!!!

Beck, you sir, are a moron and an idiot, there is really no doubt about it.

Remember, it's not that he has them, it's that he has more of them than bush did. And that they're liberal commies rather than fascist jackbooted toe-the-liners. And they aren't all white. And hate america from a liberal perspective rather than hate america from a reichwing perspective.

        Did I miss any?

No, of course not. He learned it from watching Hannity. It is a requirement a Fox News. The more you repeat a false hood the truer it becomes, I guess, I think, yeah that must be it.

Shh. Don't let Beck hear you imply that he's a Bush supporter. Oh, he's a libertarian, so he hates policies from both the Democrats and GOP. It's just that the GOP loves him.

If the GOP is the Party of No, what does that make Beck? The Party of Hell No?

Also, the so called Czars are there to advise. They have NO POWER to do anything Glenn, except, advise...

I think you should get a few of them yourself.

Beck's, and actually a lot more, Limbaugh, Hannity etc. are just using a classic ploy to keep the Republican Movement going, its the "Siege Mentality".
It works really well in fairness, you know, instead of looking at why the Republican/Conservative ideology didn't win the last election, create a foe outside of it, in this case Obama/Liberals, or like Beck and his comment about Obama (the racist one) the Liberal Media was the big enemy.

One thing I noticed, its a really good tactic sports managers can use to galvanise their teams, but I'm not sure Beck, Limbaugh etc. are doing a great job.

Can you imagine a crusty right wing old timer watching Beck and hearing all these idiotic robot sounds and such...? You know that even some of his own audience are beginning to see how crazy this loony-tune is. I predict that, eventually, Beck's name will a euphamism for nuttiness.

That's what I was thinking, and the cheesy heavy metal music too. He should have gone with some hardcore gangster rap to really frighten the Fox audience right outta their Snuggies. Most metal bands are white, Beck missed an opportunity here.

Shorter Computerized Beck: "All your base are belong to Obama."

This is unadulterated fear-mongering disguised as "marketing". He's gimmicking his show to entertain people and simultaneously striking fear in them.

But on the plus side, my computer is now so paranoid that it is exterminating virii like never before.

Putting the robot effects aside, WTF is the point Beck is trying to make here? Is it just that anything besides the Pledge of Allegiance, or some non-thinking, flag-waving idiocy throws his fans off their game so bad it doesn't matter what the words are?

          I heard a few points in the quotes;

**People who aren't doing their job should be called on it.

**Overpopulation is a serious issue (and was when Holdren's quotes were written) and should be addressed if it's endangering humans in general.

**Freedom of speech/press should be looked at more deeply than "anybody can say anything", and broadcasters should be held to some standards.

Why do these things terrify wingnuts? They all have to do with personal responsibility, and require some thinking to understand them.

It's not what's said, it's who says them. Wingnuts don't follow ideals. they follow people. If their man turns around tomorrow and says it's ok to wear your underwear on the outside, you can bet that's where it will be for about 29% of the country.

The difference is that you could filter the information that you received using what you know or what you researched to get down to key points. I'm guessing you also do not approach the Feds with a hysterical pre-programmed fear of one man rule and tyranny. You question and disagree with government based upon your experience, observation and intellect.

I'll go out on a limb and say that none of the above is anywhere near what the majority of Beck's audience is used to doing.

I think the founding fathers back Beck. I think the first amendment was enacted to allow people to show how weird their ideas are on the premise that sane people will be able to tell the difference--Beck never disappoints.
