social security
medicare
fire/police
farm subsidies
corporate tax breaks
these are all products of socialism. but, thats what you get when you live in a society. maybe a hundred years ago when you could go for miles and not see another person could you make the arguement for individualism. but when you have a country with 400 million people, well, then you have to be concerned with the welfare of the collective whole. and here's a question for you wingnuts. if we setup a health system that makes it mandatory for people to buy insurance from private companies, how is that not corporate socialism? and if people are not made to have insureance and get sick, go to the hospital and cannot pay so the taxpayers foots the bill how is that not socialism?
so before you on the right wet your pants about us becoming socialist, maybe you should look up exactly what it means instead of running around with your hair on fire.
