Even if Jones is a communist a) there is no evidence that he has anything to do with the boycott and b) that doesn't make ColorofChange a communist group.

        True enough.

And, since Van Jones has renounced his old "commie" ways (more of a youthful rebellion actually), he is now firmly a capitalist.

In February 2009 at the Berkeley Energy Resources Cooperative meeting, where Jones was speaking, a woman from the audience started to ask about some of the policies he talked about and how they seemed Marxist. She continued to talk about the economy and he responded with "How's that capitalism workin for ya?!"

            "...this year?"

If you're going to use a quote to impugn someone, at least use the full quote, in context. That means include what was said beginning a reasonable time before, during, and after, to fully relate what the person being quoted really meant.

I realize that's not a forte of the Republican sycophants, but to form valid opinions, it's a necessity.

Van Jones own words are enough to suggest that he is not a firm capitalist.

Please, do not take my word for it. Watch the whole video and make your own decision about Van Jones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZIb1DXId4o

For the record I was a Democrat for 12 years. I am now an Indy. I think this goes way, way past what party or ideology you belong to. As an American I think Van Jones' position in our government needs to be questioned. I don't think it is wrong to question this man when you couple his past with what he has said in this video and others.

Beck, imagine what this country would be like if you were the Supreme Leader of the of the USA; full dictatorial control. You get to impose all your ideas on the country for the next 10 years. What do you think this country would look like? Based on all the random rants and extreme contradictions you've espoused on your show; what would a Beck state look like? And don't just imagine what it would look like for a month or two, take it to it's full economical and logical conclusions over a few years of Becktidome.

Everyone feel free to reply with what you think the United States of Beck would look like.... seriously.

TXJoe, I think you've hit on a great point here. What really does Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity and the others have to offer except negativity, lies and attacks? What in the world do they propose other than tearing down what has been built by others?

Yes, Van Jones is a good speaker, but he is also a well-planned speaker.

Beck may be a good speaker for some, but his planning? A lot to be desired.

      Right, OLIGARH?

And I present to you folks, the NEW McCarthy. Mr. Glenn Beck.

I know that the republicans like Beck would like for it to be 1950-something again, but no need to bring back the stupid rhetoric of the 1950s. Next thing you know, he's going to be telling us that he has a list, of well placed commies working to undermine our country, and he will "expose" them ALL!

Yeah......heard Jim Quinn this morning bascially saying McCarthy's only problem was that he was dour. Otherwise, he was doing the country a service.

Amazing how the rise of conservatives on TV & radio has resulted in the rewrite of history

No, he wasn't dour, he was Dewars! He was a lying, mean-spirited drunk who wanted power and got it by waving around a piece of paper and scaring people, (who wanted to be scared and co-operated.) gee, that sounds a lot like Glennie or maybe Glennlivet.

Wasn't it Coulter who was defending McCarthy not long ago? Or was that Malkin?

I don't know - I get the Republican ho's confused all the time. (intentional plural/contraction spelling ambiguity there)

How about just 'hoes', neon desert. Hear me out on this one: They spend a lot of time in the dirt, they're a tool in the hands of others, and while they do spread around a lot of fertilizer they are most comfortable for uprooting rather than growing things.

I think that Stalin and Mao would renounce Van Jones. He's more of a rabble rousing capitalist and cheerleader for a Green economy.
Li'l Becky bases his commie phobia on this article about Van Jones.

Maybe he should be less shameless in his red scare tactics, but then, he's not very bright.

I can never decide if Beck is actually stupid or just playing stupid because he gets paid for it. I don't remember who said that it's difficult to get a person to understand something when his paycheck depends on him not understanding it; that might apply here. I honestly don't know in Beck's case whether he's a ridiculously unreasonable and dishonest unintelligent loon or simply a ridiculously unreasonable and dishonest loon.

I hope so, foghornleghorn. Otherwise, in a week or two, he'll just be sitting in a corner of the studio, curled up in the fetal position, muttering. "Commies, they're all commies. Commies coming to get me. Commies! Look out! Commies! They're all commies," until they just turn off the cameras and call the nice men who will bring a brand new white wraparound jacket for Mr. Beck.

C'mon neocons. Do you honestly think that Beck makes sense? Really? Let's hear from you. Beck pretends he didn't claim that Obama hates white people and never brings it up in any way, instead playing the victim when his advertisers respond to people exercising their right to free speech by protesting him. He and his defenders say he's being "silenced" instead of admitting that it's the free market at work. Are there any neocons willing to try to defend this guy without using untrue talking points?

Not satisfied with having advertisers abandon his show, Beck is now badmouthing them in an attempt to drive them away from FOX altogether. Maybe what's in his closet isn't what I think it, He's supressing his inner liberalism.

But what if Van Jones still strongly believes in communism and is just saying he's converted because he politically has to so as to calm businesses and voter fears? I mean it has to be considered don't you think?

All I pretty much see here is name calling, not much real information on this material being untrue? If he's annoying fine, if you don't like show, fine, but what about the subject he raises.

I'm an independent and 3 dozen unaccountable Czars is a little scary. Couldn't we call them Adminstrators to the POTUS?
