While you may be trying to be funny, lets not overlook the disapproval rating.

Johnny, it was a small bon mot and a reasonable joke based on what Steyn said. I didn't expect anyone to roll over on the floor laughing. The "disapproval rating," or approval rating for that matter, is irrelevant this far out.

JohnnySeedling should look at Obama's disapproval rating as compared to Dumbya's at the end of his term, and get back to us . . .

Did you look at the underlying assumptions from these so called "disapproval ratings"?

I'm sure you like most people take all statistics as being the gospel even though Frank Luntz is on record saying that you can get a voter to agree to anything based on how you phrase the question.

Also, there is a book which is called "How to Lie With Statistics". You should check it out.

These hateful Republicans and conservatives are out of their cotton-picking minds. What they are doing is inciting people or a person to act on their hate. It is clear they want someone, anyone to assassinate this president. This explains why they are not willing to wait for the next election. They want Obama out NOW. Have you ever heard of anyone treating a president as though he can't do anything right, even though he won the election by a wide margin? These Republicans talking heads are irresponsible and dangerous.
God forbid, if something were to happen to Obama, all of these imbeciles will act like they don't know why anyone would want to hurt Obama.

First he says: these hateful Republicans and conservatives are out of their cotton-picking minds.

Then you say: I'm personally out for Republican blood.

Now YOU are encouraging people to kill people who don't agree with you, if someone does something to President Obama, and 99.99999% of them had nothing to do with it.

You're just as bad as those whackos right wingers, which are a small minority of the citizens who lean to the right politically, who talk about hanging and white power and all that crap.

I concur with you that no one on this thread should be inciting violence, though I question if noney is really advocating this or just trolling. In any event, unacceptable.

You're just as bad as those whackos right wingers,

            FALSE EQUIVALENCE ALERT!!!

(There's been a lot of these lately)

Pistol packin' teabaggers. Dr. Tiller, the baby killer. Holocaust museum shooter. Timothy McVeigh. Church shooter who had a liberal hit list. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Violence is a wholly owned subsidiary of the right wing conservative Republican nutjobs on marching orders from hate radio. Make a note of it.

If anything ever happened to Obama, the republicans would treat him similarly to the way they treated Ted Kennedy. They will say "He was a good man but let's not politicize his death because as we all know, he would never have wanted any initiatives for which he's dedicated his career to actually pass as he stated during his life". Then they will find all kinds of way's to demonize him before the funeral is even over. Trust me, Bill Clinton would be in for the same treatment. "Monica Lewinsky!" "White Water!" Two seconds of reflection on their achievements, followed by two years of wall to wall demonizing. This is the brain trust for the "Party of Ideas".

If anything happened to Barack Obama I suspect the vast majority of Republicans would celebrate.

Somebody refresh my memory: during the WEEKlong canonization/glorification of Ronnie Raygun, did anyone mention ANYTHING about Iran-Contra, the Marine Barracks in Lebanon, or USS Stark?

Steyn isn't British, he was just educated there and brought the accent home as a memento.

Nope, he comes from a country with gay marriage and socialized medicine---Canada. And judging by the fact that he hasn't given up his Canadian citizenship, I guess that means he advocates gay marriage and single payer health care. Connect the dots, people.

Speaking of kicking the bucket...is Rush okay? He sure is absent a lot...I hope he doesn't have a serious health problem from his years of narcotics addiction...and now, losing 90 lbs. in four months. That can't be healthy.

I wouldn't be surprised if the US 'kicked the bucket' halfway through Obama's second term. The cause would not be Obama; it might happen despite Obama's best efforts.
