They all strived to be "Yale Men" like the fictional characters Alex P. Keaton(Family Ties) and Carlton Banks(Fresh Prince of Bel Air)LOL
But WTH happened this year- now they all take pride in being uneducated and stupid- holding up Sarah Palin as their idol
Just a guess, but I'm thinking part of it could be the fact that being a "Yale Man" lost a bit of its cachet when Yale Man George W. Bush got in the WH and started opening his mouth . . .
'College educated elitist', Mr. Steyn. This is one of the slurs that the Right, and especially the wingnut Right, is fond of. Education? Being learned on a subject? Not so much.
But, of course.
Political revenge is the prime motivator for these wingnuts -- the good of the country be damned.
Just as they desired revenge for the Nixon resignation: they had to wait 20+ years, and it took ten years of investigations and $70 million in taxpayer money, but they FINALLY found something they could impeach Clinton on . . .
These hateful Republicans are out of their cotton-picking minds. What they are doing is inciting people or a person to act on their hate. It is clear they want someone, anyone to assassinate this president. This explains why they are not willing to wait for the next election. They want Obama out NOW. Have you ever heard of anyone treating a president as though he can't do anything right, even though he won the election by a wide margin? These Republicans talking heads are irresponsible and dangerous.
God forbid, if something were to happen to Obama, all of these imbeciles will act like they don't know why anyone would want to hurt Obama.
For perhaps the first -- and likely only -- time in his life, Steyn is RIGHT.
Education does exist to make kids better and more informed students of their gov't -- so that someday, should one of them run for the Vice Presidency, even if they're female and from a remote area of the US, they'll actually have a clue what the Vice President does . . .
