Isn't the public option what makes it reform? Without it we would just have what we have now. That's not a compromise. I would hope no democrat would agree to that. These people have no respect for their audience or their intelligence. They just say the dumbest things knowing some braindead troll is going to buy it up, all in the name of selling their new book. Have you ever noticed that they all have books that their promoting on the shows. Suddenly you have these strong opinions that you must inform the American people about. And if they want the facts behind the accusations, then that will only be $19.95 plus tax. It just sounds a little fishy to me.

He may be wrong about almost everything, but Dick speaks with that air of absolute certainty that only the deranged are able to master. And if there's one thing Fox likes, it's somebody who's sure they're right, and can speak with this kind of authority, no matter how little substance they have to base their thought on.

Plus, he makes a swell "People's Republic" joke, and that makes the Factor Fans beat their flippers together and grunt loudly.

Yeah, true. Say, doesn't Morris's boss, Murdoch, have a major media empire in the People's Republic of China?

Have you ever noticed that many of Fox's "contributors" are disgraced politicians, convicted criminals and the like? Morris is just a toe-sucking nutjob.

The opposition claims that the companies will drop health care if the public option is approved. You have no idea of the many companies that have reduced health care, eliminated riders, made the employees pay much higher co-pays, and a bigger portion of the premium. Especially in the last 8 1/2 years. How many remember getting long term nursing care in the company group polices, before Reagan. The companies are not to blame for this, the huge cost increases in health care are to blame. They can ill afford these increases, any more than the employees. Small business has been hit very hard also. With the public option they also will have a better chance at competative costs for themselves and their workers.
If anyone believes this will not continue and get worse without the public option, I have several invisable bridges for sale.
