Thomas Sowell went on to remark: "All the dictators want to get their hands on the kids. They get them early on -- Stalin, Hitler, Castro, you name them."

      Well of course it did. Obama is Hitler; didn't you hear? Of course, to be clear, nobody is comparing Obama to Hitler.

      Can anyone explain to me what is wrong with these people? Their pure hatred of our President is leading them down the path of stupidity and they aren't walking, they're running down that path. Must be that in a neo-cons eyes, the future of the republican party relys on the dropout, uninformed, and scared voter who will believe whatever dumb thing comes out of their mouths! Was Bush indoctrinating children when he sat with them on 9/11? The GOP is in trouble, BIG trouble if this is what they have been reduced to!

      Thomas Sowell is an idiot. We studied him in B-School, with his convoluted arguments for why non-profits are inherently more "greedy" than for profit companies, and I remember him personally as one of the earlier autism deniers. (This was before our forst son was diagnosed. I wonder now how may parents put off having their children screened because of it, thus harming those who had the disorder.)

      Every time I've read anything by this guy the best of it has made me shake my head. But this takes the cake. I have no idea how these people expect to continue to be taken seriously. It is sad that anyone is still listening. Their hypocrisy and thier bias and their prejudices are so stark and so naked, I simly can't believe that even the blind partisans can't see it at this point. The IOKIYAAR double-standard has gotten to the point where I no longer see how any sane person can still apply it with a strait face. The Right have absolutley lost their minds.

        Yep. So right on about Sowell. I first heard of him when I years ago, joined the Conservative Book Club. this was in the early 1980s, so I took some offer of a cheap set of books. But all their offerings were so negative and nasty, I just quit. (I was apolitical at the time, and this was a real turn-off.) Sowell was one of the "intellectuals" whose arguments were supposedly "destroying" the liberals.

        If he ever actually had any intelligent things to say, this appearance on Limbaugh certainly puts him at a sub-zero intellectual level.

      So, when Richard Nixon sent me and my classmates out to clean up the culverts and the shoulders of the road in front of my school when I was in third grade, he was trying to Propagandizing me? Well, I suppose so, because it was the first Earth Day. What a terrible thing to do to a child, make them want to make the world a better place! Shame on him!

        epk, thank you for confessing to your involvement with the Nixon Youth. I don't think it's that incriminating, as back in the 70s we weren't yet aware that the evironmental wackos phony conservation propaganda was just a cover for their plans for complete control.

      So, he remembers the 1930's... assuming he'd have to be at least five year old, that makes him 84 or older?

      The Hitler Youth (German: De-HJ.ogg Hitler-Jugend (help·info) , abbreviated HJ) was a paramilitary organization of the Nazi Party. It existed from 1922 to 1945. The HJ was the second oldest paramilitary Nazi group, founded one year after its adult counterpart, the Sturmabteilung (the SA).

        Thus, he may be technically old enough to be "reminded" of the HJ, but that begs the question of how much EXPERIENCE he's had with them . . .

          If Sowell had met with some real hitler youths his only memory would have been a cracked skull.Does he have any idea how ths USA military was run then.This is stupid in its purest form,because he knows better
