Wolf, the 20% is Screaming Out Loud and convincing themselves that America is following them...they talk of a ground-swell but what they don't realize is that the Dems will erupt into a tsunami whenever the time is right.
These ObamaHaters don't realize they are the major minority. They are still drinking the tea that Limbaugh etc, are pouring. Even KKKarl Rove is back to using math.

One of these nutz on the radio/Fox are going to challenge a "patriot" to show a real protest of Obama and douse themselves with gasoline and set themselves on fire to show how much they care. But I can say with certainty that none of the Big Talkers will sit right next to that person to show their true loyalty to the cause.

Polls are showing that the 20% is in the vast minority. Most Americans are for the speech.

I think 20% is high. With every lie that is forwarded from E-Mail to E-Mail, and proven to be totally false or exaggerated a conservative drops off the party, or joins the more liberal Republicans. Keep replying to these with links from the various true factual sites, and only the extreme right wing conservatives will exist. My guess, in the single digits.

Lets look at the way he is going about this, when I called my child's school district last week THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS SPEECH. They said it was news to them it was taking place and they had not been contacted by any official regarding the issue.

My question for you is if the school district IS telling the truth why does it have to be such a secret? Worse yet if the school district Is lying who and why are they lying for?

The next question is why would he release the transcripts and then a few days later remove or delete sections after they were deemed questionable?

Iam not against him speaking to the students I am against the matter in which it is being done. They say it would last a hour and half if all he needs to say is - READ A BOOK, DO YOUR HOMEWORK, STAY IN SCHOOL AND YOU WILL BECOME SUCCESSFUL. Why should this take so long?

If you think this is some type of "indoctrination" just wait a few months. I hear that the "Clausers" are going to let those little Conservative kids know that there is no such thing as Santa. They also will demand that the Post Office put out a flyer letting little kids know that Santa doesn't have an address because he isn't real. Santa is just another Socialist Big Government idea who gives away things for free.
And that Thanksgiving thing, the "Turkeys" will inform the kids that the Indians didn't belong here because they were illegal immigrants and should have been wiped out because they were trying to indoctrinate the Pilgrims into that Red Devil type of lifestyle.
Can't wait until Easter....AHEM...a guy rising from the dead......

Someone is going to bring this up saying that Fox started the whole "indoctrination" thing and Hannity will be like "No one on Fox has ever said anything like that. Now we'll go through the record here and show that is an outright lie."

Fox loves to stoke the fires by making things up to create fear and hate and then they turn around and act like someone else did it.

Republicans are advocating for kids to SKIP SCHOOL! What kind of BS message is that?! I hope those kids that do stay out of school don't do something stupid because they weren't in class where they're supposed to be. I had a classmate many years ago who was supposed to be in class but chose to get her nails done instead. She died in a car crash. Only God knows when it's your time to go, but it's likely that young lady would still be here today if she didn't skip school...

Republicans are advocating for kids to SKIP SCHOOL!

RastaFarian, I've been listening to some talk radio, and the wingnuts have already been pretty well trained. The talking point to counter their taking kids out of school is basically that they're very upset that an hour of class time is being lost to a message from the President to stay in school and work hard.

So they're taking the kids out for the other six hours that day to prove how wasteful it is to have an hour dedicated to a speech by the President encouraging them to stay in school?

"Damn it, if you're going to waste an hour of my child's school day, I'll make damned sure he'll miss the other six as well!" yeah, that makes sense.

What about the health care these kids will require the next day, when they return to school with their noses cut off by their parents in order to spite the face of the President?

Ha, that's about it, Easy. It's the principle!!

Just like being hysterically against more health care options, or the Fairness Doctrine providing dissenting voices in the media, or government staying out of decisions about reproduction and marriage, all in the name of freedom.

It's must be getting tough for anybody whose brain is not installed backwards to stay in the far right cult.

This is that old trick. Just slip a term in there by saying somethig to the effect of "some people are saying ----". They tried this before. Shannon Bream was anchoring a program and she was reading something about the healthcare debate, and she said "with words like death panel being thrown around". That was the way to slip that in there sneakily and just get it into the bloodstream, pun intended. Even though there are no "death panels" and that argument has long since been disproven, she still slipped it in there on the orders of her masters at FOX NEWS CHANNEL. Then, of course, there is the old FOX NEWS CHANNEL trick of saying "some people say". They'll something to the effect of "some people say that the Democrats are endangering the troops". Sad, but expected, which is even more sad.

      THANK YOU.

I for one pray that Fox never goes off the air. Can you imagine what the streets would be like if Fox shut down..danger everywhere. If you have ever seen "Night of the Living Dead" then you realize what I mean. But when you shoot one of the Foxombies in the head, tiny Seannie and O'Reillys will scramble out of the wound and explode because of the fresh air. God SAVE FOX...for humanitys' sake.

Survey USA polls are showing that Americans overwhelmingly are in favor of the President speaking in the schools. The media and the school districts are hearing ONLY from the Foxbots and hate radio listeners . . . they are bending to pressure from the minority and the majority is going to suffer for it.

I'm so sick of this nonsense, I don't even want to read a newspaper or watch the news. I'm old enough to remember [barely] the civil rights riots of the 60s, the campus protests of the late 60s, early 70s regarding Vietnam and I can honestly say that I've NEVER seen anything like this nonsense EVER in my life. These people are being goaded into hatred by Fox and talk radio . . . the GOP, in its zeal to regain power is just egging it on. What is WRONG with these people? Do they really want to destroy our country in order to perpetuate a RIDICULOUS political CLUB?

Makes ME SICK! Madison was right in Federalist 10. Factions aka political parties will be the ruination of this country.

Sadly BINTX... you are only mostly correct,

It is not just the school districts that are getting fake outrage sent their way by these right-wing clowns and ignorant parents that are forcing them in a tight spot...

In some cases it is the school boards themselves that are making these decisions with no prodding from the Fox Noise types and the likes of Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh that are forcing the issue!

The right-wing has been for decades doing all they can to place or get elected... into every nook and cranny at the local levels (from school boards to the various elected positions in our home towns)...

Because they learned way back then that in order for something to get done in this country it does start at the local levels... and this childish reaction by some of them are more proof that the right-wing has clowns everywhere, in positions of power.

          Capt.,
One of the most highly regarded school districts in the Piitsburgh are, Upper St. Clair, was controlled by a group of RightWing Conservatives and informed everyone that they will do whatever they wanted. They had a 5-4majority and the 4 weren't even allowed to take the floor.
After the basic educational system was bascially destroyed the next election saw the 5-4 majority get switched around by the residents..and mind you, the area has a strong republican majority. They had seen enough of the ConTalk. Happy to report that the district is back to caring about the students. The Screamers got in by screaming but once in, people saw the true colors of the Cons--they just wanted power. As a side note, while the Cons ran the show, quite a few questionable, no bid contracts were given to "Friends" of the Cons.

See, I'm only asking a question, and I had nothing to do with the question in the first place. It's just that someone somewhere has wondered if Fox News broadcasters are morons who boink goats. Don't blame me for the message. It's not my creation. Just passing it on to the public, who has a right to know.

Let's get this straight. I'm a republican and a so called "Obama Hater" Okay seriously?? Obama needs to know that parents can tell their own kids to stay in school. Teachers even tell them that. When obama tells me that tommorow, Im going to get out of my chair, and walk out of the classroom. I'll probably be all over the news and the Secret Service is going to come and take me away saying that what I did was "un-American". Then I'll say, Obama's un-American!!!!
