It was disgraceful behavior, in that environment. I'm willing to bet there are some poor right-wingers who were morbidly embarrassed by this.

        reanna-mator,

        Amen to that!

This just in... it was Joe Wilson (R-SC) that yelled out the 'lie' outburst during Obama's speech!

When even John McCain goes public and demands you must apologize... you have stepped over a line that should never have been crossed!

Of course... I wonder how long before one the right-wing trolls comes in here and claims that Democrats did this exact same thing to Bush more than one time... which of course never happened... but no doubt someone will make the claim... or some other wacky claim to defend and excuse??

CNN has posted a picture of Wilson's heckling:

I will wait until tomorrow, since his website is down, but I'm sending him what little I think of him. This is worse than Cheney's suggestion to Senator Leahy back in 2004.

I'm shocked that Wilson was able to exercise such restraint. The words he wanted to say were "Go back to Africa, you lying &@^%#*& N-word."

BTW, what happened to Wilson's Confederate flag pin...?

911 made them trade them in for American flags. The conservative (republicanss)encouraged people to go big time,be patriotic and racist, under the same flag, serve a bigger audience.

What a false equivalency is posed by Stephanophus and Gibson. So president Obama calls the death panels a lie, when in fact the death panels lie earns a pants on fire lie from polifact. In turn, a congressman yells out "lie" to the president, heckling him. In the US, it is not normal or polite to heckle a president. What Obama did was true and not very controversial. What Wilson (the heckler) did was so rude he has already apologized twice. Yet in these two commentators minds, the two acts are simply examples of how high emotion is running.

Jeez! Do the Repubs every pay a price for their outrageousness? Can you imagine if a Dem had done this?

The conservatives(republicans) can spin it any way they want. This would not have been done to a white man or woman as POTUS. Nothing else to say. Some things are so deliberate, apologizing only further identifies the perpetrator as rotten for the fake apology

I agree...and I also believe that Wilson would have liked to say more. Would Wilson have said this to a President Hillary Clinton? At the end of the day this hatred for Obama is about race...pure and simple.

I guess I disagree. These guys are as sexist as they are racist and so is their version of "Christiantiy." These people have been thrown off kilter because white men don't seem to be in total charge. It would be funny if they didn't actually still hold most of the power (ie. money, media, resources).

What a new low for a congressman.....I could absolutley feel
the hate on the right side of the room when the cameras showed
the reaction of the republicans during his speech when he was
getting applause from Democrats, they sat with hands folded and
        belligerant faces.

...at about 1:30 Kucinich (sp?) gives him the cold shoulder. I think Dennis needs to spend some time in one of those new FEMA concentration camps to "clear his head" about what is best for this nation.

Maybe, maybe not. In South Carolina, this will probably be seen as a badge of honor, to stand up to the socialist/fascist/marxist/communist president. I bet junior Wilson tries to spin this for his advantage with his racist electorate.

I am a right winger. Not a poor right winger. It was rude, out of line. But I can understand his frustration. When the man lies on top of his lies and your are trying to get to the poor people who believe him--you feel defeated. I know most of you are smarter than to believe what he says, but those who believe him are out there. Trust me. I work with some of them--it's terrible.

I understand your frustration. When you hear poor people repeat the lies that they have heard repeated ad nauseam on Fox and hate talk radio over and over and over again, you feel defeated. I know you've got to be smarter than to believe what those highly paid entertainers keep saying, but there are those who believe them out there. Trust me, I got to church with some of them--it's terrible.

Look at the decay of ethics that are plaguing this party. This is like seeing a person in your family subcumb to a crack addiction and lose their self worth. The blatant disrespect and unchecked professional that was less than a common secretary has for clients coming to the office is horrid. ALL TIME LOW. In the gentlemens arena, this was cattish. Horrid and shameful. I feel sorry for these fellows at the way they are losing themselves. Matthew 5:15.

I always listen to what Glenn is saying. He is the touchstone to the worst in all of us. But I always look into his “truths” and I haven’t found any that held up in the strongest light (or any light at all).
He should write fiction. Wait he already does he just labels it “truth”.
The man has serious mental problems, but so did Hitler and Attila the Hun. Thankfully he has measured his worth and begged his audience not to pull a McVey and “ruin everything.”
God is in heaven and all is RIGHT in Beck’s world.
