The only lie I heard was when he said McCain had a good idea. ;) j/k Actually I had just gotten home and turned on the tv so I don't know what idea he was talking about. It does seem improbable though.

Poor Obama he can’t win for losing. In a desperate attempt to revitalize support for his massive spending programs, Obama speaks to the nation. The next day the news is all a buzz about Obama being outed as a liar. Seriously, Obama may have gotten the sympathy of the media (like he ever lost it), but as far as getting his message out, score one far another average Joe.

Nice try. More like 'score one far for the far-right wing fear-mongers, noise-makers and money-grubbers.'

        Just remember, nubers don't lie:

        40 Million uninsured
18 Thousand unecessarily die annualy for lack of coverage
60 Thousand bankrupted annualy by medical bills,
        75% of whom HAVE INSURANCE.

        Congratulations.
        You must be proud.

You do realize that of the 40 million uninsured 15 to 25 million are illegal. Wasn't it Obama, who said he wanted to insure the 40 million uninsured? I suppose that must include those here illegally.

Let’s see. The poor, infirmed and elderly are already covered by government insurance. That pretty much leaves able-bodied individuals that are uninsured. This a concern but not a crisis and that is why the nation calls for Obama to balance the budget and provide middle class tax cuts just like candidate Obama claimed he would do. After that if he can do as he claims and insure 40 million people for nothing, then god bless him. If you are honest with yourself, you will realize that this insurance scheme will cost something, which would then make Obama a liar

The "poor" are hardly covered. You pretty much have to be dirt-poor in order to qualify for Medicaid. Many hard-working people get screwed by their insurance companies daily and go bankrupt because of it.

The poor are hardly covered. Check out the lib. He seems to be stating that government healthcare isn't very good. Great, Then how about everyone but congress sign on board.

Also, public opinion went up in favor of the health coverage plan after the speech.

              New Poll 58% oppose

My son brought home an application from NJ family care government insurance. For $133 a month a family of four was eligible for government insurance if they made under $77k(covering just the kids). It became progressively cheaper as you made less and by the time the family income was $45,000 it was free and covered the entire household.

So the "dirt poor" making over $77k can't have a Wii on every one of their four high definition televisions. Boo hoo. Next you will suggest that we pay their mortgage.

That pretty much leaves able-bodied individuals that are uninsured.

Tha's right: People who work there a$$s$ off for companies that don't OFFER health insurance. Waitresses, Cashiers, or those working long hours for startups in hopes that one day their companies may hit it big. But who cares about those people, right? WHY DO YOU HATE ENTREPRENEURS?!

And you whole post is a pathetis reply anyway. Wow. So some of the 40-Mil are illegals. The rest are able-bodied but can't aford health care becuase their employers don't offer it - you do realize that almost everyone who has insurance only pays about 20% of the cost of it, right? Their employers pick up the rest, assuming that's a benefit they offer. So much for all that "bootstraps" nonsense.

And What about the 18 Thousand who die?! What about the 60 thousand bankrupcies?! (75% of whom have insurance!!) Again: NICE SYSTEM. YOU MUST BE PROUD.

You are defending the indefensible and doing so pathetically.

Typical... every critic of conservatives and republicans are liars and frauds... the paranoia is getting pretty thick

How they can continue to front these insurance companies is beyond me...these companies are comitting fraud and are being unapologetic about it.

When someone dies or goes bankrupt after being denied treatment, there is no criminal lawsuit or investigation. There are no apologies from the insurance company. It's a simple game... the patient lost and the insurance company won.

It is so obvious to me that every person who goes on television and opposes health care reform is bought and paid for by the Health Care insurance industry.

Health Care is a public safety issue and shouldn't be in the hands of private industry. When the insurance companies win we all lose.

You mean something like this Rush?:

"The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

Turns out, not true. And this was one of many justifications for invasion into Iraq.

Amazing. A completely alternate reality. And worse, one which he unabashedly recounts to his greedily accepting audience, even when their own experience tells them the complete opposite. He must be on some kind of power trip to discard truth altogether and present this fable to his audience, confident in knowing that even if they watched it and recognize that the reality is completely contrary to his story, they'll still buy it.

There are no words... This is your GOP base ca. 2009.

So... ignoring a PDB that specifically outlined an emanate attack upon the USA was not demeaning in any way to the presidency?

Or when a president that would say "Bring it on"

OR when a president leans on the podium like a college frat boy every time he spoke.

Or when a president who leads the very government he disparages when he says that the nine most scary words are "I'm from the government and I'm here to help"

and yes... even when a president can't keep his zipper up counts as well.

      None of those count?

Of course, since no lies were spoken (yes, a few murky words and some vagueness was)... but no lies that I noticed...

Any troll want to point them out?

How does this guy sleep at night? I can't think of a bigger lying disgusting pig than Rush. And the congressman who screamed out like he was at a junior nintendo tournament wasn't much better. I'd be so proud to have that little boy as my Congressman, wouldn't you? Dumbing down of America continues with this drivel.
