Pres Bush 43 urged americans to go on about thei lives and never told us exactly what to do other than a wholesale panic about anybody walking aroun wearing a turban and a burka.

Wrong. That wasn't the only thing Bush told us to do after 9/11.

If you recall, Bush he told us we should go out shopping at the mall.

It was our patriotic duty, remember?

It's not shocking however that 8 years after 9/11, Fox News is still using the tragedy for propaganda purposes.

I'd say Bush must not have thought Sept. 11 was truly a big deal, or he 1) would have at least tried to stop it ahead of time, and 2) would not have half-@$$ed the pursuit of bin Laden in preference for his Oedipal quest to get Saddam.

        Oedipal?

Did W. want to kill his father or have sex with his mother?

Man, I've been out of the loop!

Not only that but Bush did not want a commission report or investigation into 9/11. Bush administration spent 1.5 million on an "investigation". Converse that with Ken Starr who spent 7.2 million investigating Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.

That was the total cost of the investigation (I stand corrected): Ken Starr was given a certain amount and he exceded it. In any event it was much, much more than Bush spent on 9/11. That is the point.

But Ralph Peters is such a respected Politician...

      ...respected ex-General I mean....

      ...respected ex-Colonel...

      Oh, I forgot, he's an ex-Lt. Colonel.

And that makes him an expert on our collective unconscious how?

The last good thing Ralph Peters did was the book: "The War in 2020". He predicted what's happening in Russia today and in China. And that's stuff that's taught at the war college. Beyond that? Nil, zip, nada...

Well, what a coincidence . . . eight years after 9/11, it's "shocking" that the man who WAS president thought it wasn't any big deal when he was WARNED about it . . .

It doesn't matter what the subject is or how ridiculous, Fox News and Obama haters are going to misrepresent or lie anything he says. This is sick, irresponsible and dangerous. They know where all of this criticism is leading. It is inciting hate and rallying white mobs all around this country. There is nothing more dangerous than a white mob angry at a black man. When that happens ANY black person is a potential target. The media has a responsibility to the citizens of this country, but they give legitimacy to hate talk disguised as free speech. The media do not respect the rights of black people who talk irresponsibly along race lines.

Got to love how these corporate whores can so easily claim some self righteous standing in being more concerned about something over someone else simply because their ideology is different.

FYI: Any of you trolls that love to come in here and cause trouble... you had best be careful in claiming you have some kind of corner on the market of remembering this day today.

I'm not in the mood for it and I have a now 19 year old daughter who still occasionally has nightmares!

Just because you are Republican or right-wing or conservative... does not give you some God given right to claim your heart is broken and we Democrats, Independents, liberals, or progressives have moved on.

And if you do, like this foolish imp Ralph Peters has against ALL OF OUR PRESIDENT it will only prove that you are as pathetic as many of us have claimed you to be for other reasons beyond this day.

THE PRESIDENT HAS ASKED FOR EVERYONE TO DEDICATE THIS DAY TO SERVICE AND VOLUNTEERING. NOT ONLY HAS THE PRESIDENT PUT REMEBERANCE TO THIS DAY, HE HAS STARTED A PRECIDENT. SERVE.GOV!!!!!

BILL IS LOSING HIS TOUCH. LETS GET BACK TO THAT "BABY KILLER" THING. MATTER OF FACT, WHAT HAVE YOU (BILL) DONE TO MAKE EASIER AND BETTER CHOICES FOR WOMEN FACING THE ISSUE OF ABORTION, OR DON'T YOU THINK IT IS AN IMPORTANT ISSUE? (PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO BILL)

OOPS, I MEANT TO COMMENT ON SOMETHING ELSE...BUT WHAT IS PETER'S GONNA DO ABOUT IT. YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO SOMETHING BUT INSTEAD YOU MANIPULATE THIS INCIDENT AS A PRESIDENTIAL CONSEQUENCE OR LACK OF INITIATIVE. You should make the O'Reilly "Pin Head" pick. We as a Nation have the obligation to remeber and advance the cause. What will you do? ME?, I chose to dedicate time to MMFA and check stupidity like these for the sakes of military and first responder families. I am doing my service. Last week I volunteered for Sojourner Truth House, laying mulch, and again for Catholic Charities by donating a few beautiful back-packs filled with cleaning supplies for homeless families of this tragedy and any other country/party negligent issue.
