No he answered the question what will happen when the money runs out? What happens when it is overwrought with waste, fraud and abuse as the current medicaid and medicare is??
This bill adds over 75 new departments and about 100,000 new employees to the bloated government payroll, why?? if this is reform why do we need over 1000 pages sound like overhaul not reform.

The government should tighten up the medicare and medicaid waste, fraud and abuse which i hear is 100,000 million dollars or more. Tighten that up and that would pay for your health care plan.

Better yet why not let congress, the house and the white house open their doors and put every one on their plan. The plan is working for them they have no complaints so why not??

My favorite part is when he says, "But Joe, what if it becomes so expensive....?"

He could have also said, "But Joe, what if aliens come down from outer space and decide to make us all slaves. What then?"

Then we'd all have to get used to alien anal probes.

Not entirely unlike what the GOP has done to us for the last 30 years or so.

I don't think anal probes are covered in the health care bill! They aren't there! Swear to God!

Wait -- did he just say, "It's the indirect concerns that I'm trying to articulate"?

Oh. He's not saying death panels are in the bill, he's just asking, "What if they were?"

      Now I get it.

It's a miracle he was ever elected Governor of our state (MN). He won because the non-Republican votes got broken up between the Democratic candidate and the Independent candidate, and we have no instant run-off provision.

There are a lot of people here who aren't terribly thrilled with him. Our state is having a massive budget crisis, and he's off playing The-Man-Who-Would-Be-President.

Republicans are now using "Wizard of Oz" logic: Don't pay any attention to the man behind the curtain.

Their application: Don't pay any attention to what I said before, only what I am saying now.

I think I know how these boobs got into office, and why they are so bad at even being a savvy politician now.

During Bush's reign, many "red staters" got bamboozled into thinking non-issues like, banning gay marriage, banning flag burning, banning abortion, prayer in school, etc. were the real issues. So, these butt-heads got elected on those platforms.

Now when REAL issues emerge, they're clueless on how to respond. Being used to lying about the non-issues, they resort to their old tricks of lying about the real issues.

But, now they're getting called on their lies.

Response? Don't pay attention to what I said before.....

In a nutshell, that's why the Republican party is in a shambles.

Vote these idiots out of office!

They certainly are NOT representing their constituents.

Both Ole BlunderRush and Sheer "Am I an Idiot?" InSannity have used the same technique.

To quote BlunderRush: "Just because it isn't in the bill doesn't mean it isn't there."

With "logic" such as that, one can claim anything is in there. And they do...

PS: For a decade the Republicans ran Congress and ran the American public's opinion of it down to the lowest levels in many, many years. Now the Democrats are in charge and must deal with this problem. And the conservative right wing nutz are screaming about America's low opinion of Congress as if they had nothing to do with it.

Just like President Obama must deal with the Bush deficits.

I may have to e-mail Joe. I was watching when this was on earlier. Myka's reaction to Pawlenty's bs was great, too. The man NEVER answered the question directly . . . he just MADE STUFF UP!

The more I see of Joe, the more I like him--- A rational Republican--thank God. Hopefully, he is the face of that party in the years ahead. None of us profit from an opposiiton of nitwits.

It still blows my mind how some people can misconstrue "end-of-life" counseling into "death panels". It's a good concept, and a good thing to provide, and yet they lie through their teeth.

Note that this is the same governor that said, with a straight face, that he didn't want to raise taxes to fix Minnesota's bridges after the collapse in Minneapolis.

And yes, let's not mess up the 37th best healthcare system in the world. When a health insurance company turns down a patient for coverage and they die, that's not rationing. It's capitalism and it's righteous! I sure hope we don't screw that up!

Incidentally, "Liar Liar" was by the Castaways, who were from Minnesota.

Give Joe a free cup of coffee. A Starbucks gift card even. He knows more and is more definate about coffee than he does about his stance on the current administration or the Healthcare Issues.

Pawlenty reminds me of Rush several years ago "It's OK I said this even though it isn't true because it COULD be true!" That means he can say absolutely anything and claim not to be lying. What a nutball.

Where was Pawlenty's "Could Happen" argument the last 8-10 years? We wouldn't be in this state now!

My how things change with administrations! Joe's a bit hypocritical at best...
