As opposed to anyone who failed to applaud enthusiastically every time George W Bush mentioned "9/11" or "keeping us safe" during one of HIS speeches before joint sessions of congress. I'm sure Savage would have recommended a treason trial and a bullet to the back of the head for such people.

Bush debased the Medal of Freedom so badly (see George Tenet) that it probably should go to Wilson as a negative character reference.

You know it's funny. I heard this Wilson guy described as a meek, mild mannered pol from who such an outburst was shocking to his constituents. But then I saw a clip on the news of him telling some guy on a talk show he (the other guy) hated America back in 2002 or 2003. Sounds like the outburst was very much in character.

Well, why doesn't Mikey give him a Presidential Medal of Freedom from his Savage Nation and be done with it. The man was rude and disrespectful to the place, if not the President (which he was.) His outburst was uncalled for and Mr. Savage's support for such boorish behavior only shows that his own mother didn't teach him any manners. A fact that we were already aware of, as is the British government which has wisely chosen to spare themselves the benefits of his company, however small them must be.

        Just off his home station.
They did it to avoid having to invite him to the next station Christmas party.

Too predictable that Wilson has become a hero among the far right, even using his tantrum to step up fund raising for himself among the far right.

This is what they respect; A man with the courage to call the truth a lie, and to call lies the truth, and to do it loudly in inappropriate venues. Wilson is a perfect poster boy for the ridiculous right wing of America.

His opponent has already received over $500,000 in donations since Wilson's tantrum.

They should have busted in there and arrested Nancy Pelosi and the President right on the spot. We the people can't take these lies anymore. It was bad under Bush but now these wacko's are turning our country into a laughing stock. There should be disent during a speech. If he wanted to give an infomercial than he should have paid for it himself. Or maybe Rev Wright could have helped kick in.

Repugnuts just keep lowering the civility and cheap shot bar. I guess thats what passes for bravery now with Mikey and the Kloset Klan Klub Band. After all they brought draft deferments, going AWOL and "slam dunk" tacticians to new heights of glory. Why stop now.

He is such a weasel he told the president he unequivocally apologized then turned around made excuses for his apology to reporters.

I am not sure what the point of this thread is. Am I supposed to outraged by Wilson's actions or that Savage seems to have have the opinion that Wilson's actions were commendable? While I think Wilson's outburst was disrespectful, I find it hard to fault a commentator for their opinion.
