So...what is it? An anti-tax tea party? The 9-12 Project Tea Party? The Obama Smackdown Tea Party?

Or is it just thousands of grumpy conservatives?

The way Fox has advertised (sponsored?) it I thought it was part of their Summer lineup. Funniest Conservative Videos.

This was just an "I hate Obama" protest. They had no real clear message.

To be precise, it's a "I can't stand that a black man is our President" protest.

Right on! These are just a bunch of stinking racist Klansmen. When a white president lies, murders and destroys the Constitution, they say nothing. But when a Madison Avenue-created Wall Street-sponsored black president does it (to the tenth power)...

As for "Madison Avenue-created and Wall Street-sponsored", I would think that since Obama is from Chicago, "Michigan Avenue-created" might be more apropos.

As for the rest of the above rant, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't his predecessor who wiretapped US citizens without warrants, extraordinarily rendered and tortured, tried to expand his power {"unitary executive"}, and said the Constitution was "just a g-d piece of paper"?

...he sure did, and I hope one day George Bush is tried by a jury of his peers in a court of law and, if found guilty, is locked up for a long time.

And what does the Lewin Group have to say about the financial health of this nation should these people succeed in achieving their goal of bankrupting the national treasury with noone paying taxes ? Maybe we should go ask Cavuto and Stein ?

Glenn Beck's fondest memory of 9/12, in his own words, is that on that day "we were all United behind our President." Sooo...is his "9/12 Project" a movement to unite us behind our President? Hahahahahaha, please.

I suppose it doesnt' matter to any of these people that Obama and the Democrats haven't raised their taxes, does it?

Imagine the turnout they could have gotten if their protests were actually BASED on something- I mean, something other than their irrational hatred of the Democratically Elected President and Congress.

They seem angriest about imaginary things like tax increases and illegals getting health insurance and oblivious to the reality of things like massive tax cuts while waging wars in two different countries.

They may be delusional, but just think of how brave they are, protesting just like the original patriots, who could have been arrested and hung for treason....why, these brave "patriots" who have the balls to want to co-opt the tea party name for themselves, probably had to brave traffic and in some cases be at least 200 yards away from a porta-potty.

And the best part of the day, is that back on the rest of the Mall, there was a black family reunion festival taking place. I'm sure the tea party folks were not too happy with that.

you are right on the spot, jamele. NO taxes have gone up, no final health care bill is out there, and all the old people there get government insurance now anyways. Bush doubled the national debt. Bush aided in wrecking the economy. Makes no sense to me, so must be cuz we have a black president and a "fair and balanced" Fixed News to keep us all informed.

Oh, come on, snoop; be fair -- I'm sure that, among that sea of white people, there was good variety and distribution of blondes, brunettes, redheads, and grey hairs.

        See? Diversity! :)

Who can blame then for coming unraveled? They've been losing elections since 2006 and the more we learn about them the smaller their base gets. After they get squashed in 2010, lets hope their healthcare covers psychiatric counseling.

Fox is already reporting numbers being up to 2.5 million people. They're projections are as bloated as their brains.

A frind of mine in DC walked through the crowds with an 'I Love Michelle Obama' shirt! As expected he got alot of comments. He was not afraid to shout back. But he was surprised to get a couple of compliments by couple women he described as 'embarrassed wives'. Their wifebeating husbands probably forced them to be there.

Heck, that's nothin'. On the other thread, Glenda was bashing the Wall Street "Journall" for not covering his bogus ACORN story.

Um, Glenn -- you do know who OWNS the WSJ, don't you?? If not, Mr. Murdoch will remind you shortly. :)
