The only things Stossel is contrary to are the facts and the truth. So that makes him a perfect fit at Fox.

Yep, anybody willing to lie for a paycheck is a good fit at Fox. They should call it the Judas Iscariot News Source.

My first thought as well. The Mission Statement of Fox in a nutshell. You can go to reliable sources for facts, but Fox is the only one reporting the other side of the story.

Wait a minute, I thought Stossel was always an "independent"? You know, that catch word conservative media folks like to use to try and maintain their non-biased opinions.

Stossel is a fool, always has been. Wasn't he the guy that got smacked down by a wrestler when he called pro wrestling "fake" many years ago? Now THAT was good TV.

I started disregarding that fool years ago when it was patently obvious he didn't know what the hell he was talking about.

So yes, dude has found a scabbard for his sword at Fox.

Yep, he's called either an independent or a Libertarian, which means that he does the corporate shilling without the bible thumping. And contrarian means he argues with established facts.

Ah yes, the old libertarian thing. Why don't they just call themselves republicans? It's the same thing.

Right, Flowers, it was that man-among-men, Hulk Hogan. It was also the last time Stossel is known to have been accurate. I've often said (in private) that Hogan hit both too hard and not hard enough.

He's also a willing liar and a good little corporate whore!

I won't even type my thoughts on Mike Gallagher... MMfA would likely delete them... and I would not blame them for doing so

I use to enjoy Stossel back when he first stared "Give me a break" but then he started going way off track I think he developed a bran defect.

I like some of Stossel's libertarian views but inevitably he takes them too far. (Why is it that whenever "Conservtives" (capital C) have a good or reasonable idea, they always overdo it to the point where it becomes a many-headed monster? Doesn't seem very 'conservative' (lowercase C) from a dictionary standpoint!)

The thing I don't understand is why libertarians are always so loud on economic matters, and always so quiet on Social matters? Stossel should be an adamant supporter of Gay Marriage, Pro-Choice, Legalization of Marajuana (and others), legalization of Prostitution, liberalization of gambling laws, liberalizaion of porn / "decency" regulations...

But all you ever hear about is low taxes, no protectionism, no socialism, no evironmental regs, no labor laws... basically nothing that actually HELPS (or increases LIBERTY for) any individual people!

The founding fathers said "Liberty and Justice for ALL." It seems to me that people like Stossel take this ideal and turn it into "Liberty and Justice for THEM."

      That's what I think, anyway.

NGE, sometime in the 80s, when I realized I didn't fit into either major parties box, I started going to meetings of various third parties ( I voted third party a lot for many of these years).

The Libertarians, at least back then, had some good, sensible ideas,at least to somebody like me who was mostly motivated by freedom on social issues. I think I was checking them out just as they were hijacked.I remember going to a meeting, and suddenly their ideology was all about eliminating income tax for a much more regressive plan, and anti-choice fanatics were being given stage time to argue for the freedom of fetuses.

The crowd was skewing toward very rich people who were too old to worry about unwanted pregnancy at this point, and that was the end of it for me.

From broadcast television to cable television... that's pretty contrary. In his next career move John will move from cable to a 500 watt radio station in Nebraska.

John Stossel is a good for for Faux News because he's a butt-kissing sellout. He used to do good as a consumer reporter on WCBS-TV in New York, but that was long ago, before he sold his soul...

What really bugs me about Stossel is the condescending grimace and headshake that says 'Can you believe these people?' he always does at the end of the story.

The only think I can think of when I see this Mike Gallagher's name is remembering The Dave Shappelle Show when Shappelle played a black version of the comedian Gallagher and shot at a watermellon and accidentally shot a audiance member and ran off stage yelling black gallagher! LOL! Funny TV show!
