"There was no official crowd count. Organisers, who had expected between 25,000 and 50,000, put the total at 75,000 but many estimated that it was much higher" The Telegraph

"As many as one million people flooded into Washington for a massive rally organised by conservatives claiming that President Obama is driving America towards socialism. The size of the crowd - by far the biggest protest since the president took office in January - shocked the White House." The Daily Mail

This is what was actually said. There is no mention of it on the BBC page. I will see tonight. Glenn is lying. I was there. I say the estimate of 60,000-70,000 is an accurate estimate. Glenn is depending on his fans not checking out his sources,.The Daily Mail is the Fixed News of the U.K.

Most of the dealers have not been reimbursed for their efforts. Hardly a success, Harley, but in liberal-limbo-land, if Obama and Nancy say it's so, it's so! It's kinda what's going to happen if Obama takes over health care.

That's not the case, but if it were, why didn't Barack Einstein take that into account? Usually, when the government gives away money, as in this case, there is a stampede to collect.

I believe that it is the CONGRESS which passes legislation and which controls the purse strings, not the president. I realize that under the Bush administration, those things got skewed, but Congress legislates, the President executes. The President can propose legislation and the President can ask for money, but it is up to Congress to actually carry out both.

Try reading the Constitution sometime, you might learn something.

You know, Mr. Beck, you just cited the UK's Daily Mail as a source for the numbers you claimed turned out on 9-12, but I can't see that they ran a story on it. On the 3 million that showed up for President Obama's inauguration? Yes. Of you and FreedomWorks' astroturfed protest? Not so much.

Anyone have a lead on this supposed coverage? Anyone?

This is true, but, their predictions for 500,000 to 1,000,000 people (this is what I heard on local radio in the DC area in the days leading up to it) were of course far below what they thought was going to happen.

      ***NEWS ALERT***NEWS ALERT****NEWS ALERT***

One of the biggest gathering of uniformed, manipulated, gullible, and stupid people assembled in Washington D.C. on Saturday. Thousands of protesters listened to speeches about the evils of their government from members of Congress/government employees and media types.

The crowds cheered when instructed to do so or whenever anyone said the magic words: Taxes, Socialism, Nazi, Lefties, or Pelosi. The biggest NO came from the crowd when a speaker asked the audience if they wanted affordable healthcare delivered by the government instead of insurance companies.

The crowds would have been a lot larger but half of the protesters mistakenly went to Washington State and still others couldn't afford to put gas in their pickup trucks. Many of the protesters, it has been reported, had to get permission from their probation officers to leave their states to attend the rally.

A Washington D.C. cleaning crew has been contracted to sanitized and disenfect the area after the rally.

If you check out Glenn's 912 website, the new big thing is to start immediately dismantling the government and start all over. Mark my words - that's going to be the next big "movement" by Beck and Co.

In other words, a small minority of the population doesn't like this whole democratic election thing when they lose. So, the next logical step, of course, is to just start over.

I guess we all had to see this coming. The baby boomers finally learning how to use the internet. I'm sure this whole "movement" will die once the novelty of it wears off.

I actually feel kind of sorry for them. I mean, it's probably the only "protesting" they have ever done. I think protest is good and healthy. It's unfortunate that it's been hijacked by the extreme right wing. These poor souls actually think they are doing something good.... much like those 9/11 hijackers thought they were doing something good. I mean, if you go to Beck's website, people are literally telling Beck "We can't wait until next week when you give us new orders." I'm not making this up - go there and see it for yourself.

It also explains why they are so confused that other people think they are ridiculous. They really, truly feel like they are doing a good thing. It's quickly turn into a circle of hate, and really kind of breaks my heart.

Same sort of thing as those mail scams sent to senior citizens promising them all kinds of money, etc. They simply don't know any better.

I think if we see these protesters as victims (which is what they are), and treat them as such, perhaps they will see that most of the left isn't really that bad. That in the end, we love America too and simply want to help it become a better place for all.

I think this fire can best be put out with water, not more fire. And by water - literally, bring them water. Wear a t-shirt that says "I like to help people" and bring water for the protesters.

Maybe a corny idea, but you get my drift. Make it clear that you support health care reform, but also show some compassion for these innocent victims of Glenn Beck's campaign of hate.
