The phoniest part of Joe Wilson is his refusal to apologize to his colleagues in Congress...saying that they were wasting time when there were more important matters.

Well, Joe...how long would it have taken to simply say "I am sorry for my breach of decorum. I was wrong."? How long...? Instead you chose to make it a circus in order to appease your extremist right wing base. If you already admitted you were wrong why not apologize directly to your colleagues, too?

I agree. Show a little class. It might make you a hero to a broader base of people and shore up a little respect for Republicans.

Interesting thing from the Olbermann show about Joe Wilson... apparently he should know a thing or two about lying because no one except for Joe can recall him ever being an immigration lawyer. Not his lawyer buddies back home, not other immigration lawyers back home and not the organization representing immigration lawyers in America.

LOL... i love maddow's "YOU LIE" impression. good stuff.

god that joe the heckler is a real piece of work. first, his colleagues tell him he has to lie because for some reason he doesnt realize that he should be apologizing, and then he kind of takes it back claiming to the media that they told him to. which basically means, he never really wanted to. and then you have the guy gloating about doing it and his colleagues in the house praising him over it. i bet he is very proud of himself, and clearly his teabagger fans and town hall mobs have his back. notice that he is only getting support from the fringe of the party.
