So the woman wants a reporter to execute proper etiquite in a room full of people (we have swine flu out here people), and she's deemed as having a mandate on sneezing manners?

I'm going to give Fox and Fiends the benefit of the doubt, and say that they were just having a light-hearted moment commenting about a light-hearted moment with Sibelius.

What strikes me, though, is how easily one can tell that Sibelius is being light-hearted, but ol' Fox and Fiends... not so much.

If this had happened during the last (mis)Administration, they would've been calling for a Sneeze Czar.

She's the Secretary of Health. It is her job to give protocol on how to prevent diseases. I don't see anything malicious about it, she wasn't nasty or anything.
Though I forgot, she's pro-abortion, baby killing monster (rolls eyes).

Just waht is the point about "czars"? The executive appoints people to positions of delegated authority on certain subject matters. Would it be better if the president manages every department himself? These appointees are not without oversight, the president oversees them and he is subject to restraints of his constitutional oath, the legislator via new laws and impeachment, and the judiciary via rulings and precedent, which he should follow. Bush was a perfect example of the executive run wild and the GOP paid for it with lost elections. This is how it is supposed to work.

I don't think it has anything to do with the actual process. It's just a scary word. And it's all communist-y and stuff.

I think you're right. It's a scary word to uninformed people.

And any time they can wedge that word into a discussion, they will. Gov Sebelius isn't a czar, so it has no place in this discussion. As part of her role in the Cabinet, she's a perfect person to have said what she did. There's no need to get a czar to do that. Clearly, the only reason to mention it is to enflame the rightwing base. Another example of FoxNews not being fair and balanced.

It is scary because little the dummies at FOX Snooze know. Czar means Tsar in some countries even Russia. It means emperor or king. It is not labeled a communist name because communism did not come into effect until 1917 with the overthrow of Nicholas II of Russia. See some of the stuff FOX snooze talks about they have no real knowledge or they might but contiune to feed BS to viewers of their idiot channel.

" But, her look of outrage is something a little scary..."

I thought she was playing this scolding for humor. And, as has been pointed out, it was a teachable moment for the Secretary of Health and Human Services. And then Retchin' Gretchen goes on about internal politics and people out to get her job, what, is Gretchen letting the cat out of the bag about goings on at Fixed Noise? I can believe they would be connivers and backstabbers, they're so smarmy on the air.

This is probably what happened - and I kid you not...

There was probably someone prompting them to switch the subject to czars. So in Carlson's usually "intelligent" manner, she used the sneeze to segue to the czars.

"Her look of outrage - that's something that's a little scary".

      Just stunning.

And then Carlson suggests that if Gov Sebelius doesn't grab her opportunities, one of the dreaded czars will wrest control from her? She has to reinforce that she's the Secretary of Health and Human Services by scolding a reporter? OMG!

Gretchen, Mrs Sebelius will not lose her job! So quit saying that other people will be taking her position. DUMMY! Then again all they do is stab people in the back anyway. Why was that a serious momment anyway! Shouldn't that be a blooper instead? Oh I forgot FOX is already a blooper! LOL!

Didn't George Bush use hand sanitizer after shaking Obama's hand once? Seemed a little odd to me when first hearing that, but I guess it's the way things work in Washington. I guess there's certain etiquette that's evolved - a lot of people from all over the world constantly in very close quarters.

That said, when on MUNI in San Francisco, or on a plane, I always sneeze into my elbow.
