What is the gist of this tired talking point "embracing our enemies"?

Which countries, according to Beck, are our traditional friends whom we are poking? England? Who else?

The mixed historical metaphors in this short segment are a marvel to behold, as Obama is sequentially compared to one of the Axis leaders (I'll assume Hitler, since Beck routinely makes that comparison), Jimmy Carter and Woodrow Wilson.

Plus they mix in a bit of attacking their enemies as "blame America firsters" while saying that America is now one of the Axis?!

So Beck takes the pretzel logic award for the umptenth time.
        Huzah!
He makes it look so much like a nervous breakdown, shown in slow motion.

Beck: "We want to hug the thugs of the world"

Is he dissing his friend and mentor, Ronnie Raygun?

Other than that, classic neo-con talk. "America needs to flex is muscle more and show the world who is really in charge>"

"Are we headed towards being a member of the Axis Power?"

That little squiggly line at the end of the sentence means it's a question.

Why is it that folks like you see disagreement as hatred? Is it projection? I find Beck and Bolton to be completely disgusting human beings who are bent on destroying our country; however, do I hate them? No . . . I don't know them. Hatred is a very strong emotion . . . quit trivializing it by equating it to disagreement.

Wait a minute, the Axis Powers are our tradional allies.....
we have been Allied with Italy Japan and (West)Germany since the end of the Second World War

Or Maybe Beck means our tradional allies as those we had allied with prior to the end of WWII England, France, Italy, China ...and Russia!

Nah that cant be it, he must mean our WWI allies, England, France, Italy and...Russia!

No wait he must mean our pre WWI allies....the entire Western Hemisphere including Venezuela

So yea we are selling out our allies by talking to our allies...got it Glenny

Mr. Beck must be disappointed. He did not win an Emmy last night for Best sitcom...which is basically what his show has become, one big joke!

Oh no, we removed the missiles from Poland and upset our allies. Hey, Glenn, about the fact that first off telling us that the Bush administration put in a antiquated system that: A) Is not built to intercept the current type of missiles Iran has; B) That this type of system has a minuscule kill rate anyway; and C) that the actual people of Poland are happy that they are being removed.

Rachel Maddow's show last week had a great clip from the show West Wing, about the chances of successfully shooting another missile down. I cannot find the clip but it took place in the Situation Room during a "Star Wars test"...Leo asks the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs if they hit the target and he answers "No sir". The President asks how much it missed by and the Chairman responses 132. Leo then comments that 132 feet is not bad, which he is then informed that they had actually missed the target by 132 miles!

Russia was not our enemy. Communism and by extension, the USSR was our enemy and even during the USSR, one of the republican icon's reagan played with Gorbachev like they were best pals - how dare he? How can he be so chummy with an enemy of the US? The same reason Obama is working to improve relations with these countries - it is what the president is supposed to do to improve international relations. Unlike Bush who would rather start bombing because diplomacy was for whimps and liberals and he couldn't talk to save his life. Please beck, you cannot be as dumb as you constantly portray yourself to be.

Plus, beck is implying that no matter what the international context of the time, we SHOULD ALWAYS be friends with the same and enemies with the same. Yea because we have always been at war with afghanistan except for ya know, that time that we fought with them against the USSR just to defend them. And we have always been at war with iraq except when we supported them. And we always hated cuba except when Cuba was the number one vacation resort for America. Just like the fact that we have a fine relationship with Germany now but we didn't when Hitler was in power, things change but beck doesnt seem to understand this concept. His point is nonsensical.

Glenn Beck's logic is infallible, wow! Man! How could we talk to people that hate us around the world and give gifts to our allies?! ABUHHHHHHH! What are we becoming part of the axis of evil?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! It is called diplomacy you uneducated, blathering, imbecile. There is no need to be overly diplomatic with our allies as they are already our allies and do not benefit from being part of the axis. And the Walrus, where do I being? The king of alienating our allies, who went to the U.N. and told them we do not need them, that they are silly. The world is not the same as it was in the early 20th century, where alienating policies might have worked. If we want to coexist peacefully on this planet we must talk to everyone and really consider their concerns because that is in our long-term interest. Hate and ignorance will get us no where, except to Fox News and particularly the Glenn Beck show.
