I like how he suggested that the "certain number" could be "a million"- each of the 70,000 in attendance would have to be carrying 14 separate signs

      Google it, Glenn...

In order for Beck to understand yellow journalism, he'd first need to learn something, anything, about regular journalism.

Now I've never seen the interior of Murdoch's office, but I wouldn't be surprised if, on the wall directly behind Murdoch's desk, there's an oversize portrait of the all-time king of yellow journalism, William Randolph Hearst.

What was Hearst's reply to Frederic Remington when Remington wired him that all was quiet down in Cuba, "you provide the pictures, I'll provide the war"

What signs were violent or racist? What signs weren't violent or racist??? I would say at least 75 percent of the signs i saw were either violent or could be insinuating race like "We want our country back" or questioning where Obama was born or that obscene poster of Obama wearing some african tribal garb. But no signs of hitler and stalin or obama in their clothes could NEVER be misconstrued as violent. Hitler posters could be considered either/both I would think. Point is they were classless and tasteless and most had absolutely nothing to do with the issues they were supposed to be "protesting."

This guy is just going short of yelling "fire" in a crowded theater, and everyone in the MSM on down is saying, what I don't hear anything. I am for free speech and Glenn Beck can go out to the street corner and rant and rave all he wants, but when you have the opportunity to use the public airwaves you also have the responsibility to be rational and that train (with GB on it) has left the station.

Like the conservative scum they are...

The first thing they resort to is lying. It's reflex for conservatives. They've been able to win in the past with lies and filth and they can't resist with that game plan again. "What racial slurs?...Are you kidding?..These were just tea-partiers on a protest. 'We didn't come armed...this time.' Just a joke!"

        Sure Glenn, sure...

The problem with the fringe conservative crowd, Dreck, Fox, etc., is that they have zero integrity.

      Whoa...

Yellow journalism? Glenn Beck certainly knows about that!

As for when media says vague things like "Some people say" or "A certain amount of blah, blah, blah" is not just Brian Williams to be sure...

It is ALL corporate owned media!!

For Glenn Beck to point it out and act as if he is innocent of doing such is like a child being caught red handed stealing a candy bar and then proceeds in blaming his parents for being bad parents for why he did it.

Wasn't Glenny basing his claim of 1.7 million people at the Tea-bagger rallies on an estimate from the University of 'Somewhere"?

        Now that's good journalism!

No, but unfortunately for y'all a bunch of racists who were in the minority took over and have tarnished the entire event. Whatever message y'all had is long lost to a bunch of racist sign waving fearmongers now.

And speaking of racism, way to stay classy...

The message is still there if you are willing to see it. Perhaps most people on this site simply refuse to see it. Racism has nothing to do with conservatism.

Then, at the very least, get your leaders to vocally, publicly, denounce that element, and rather than welcome them at events like the 9-12 "march" in Washington, tell them they are NOT welcome rather than applaud them.

Excuse me, but there is no message of the 9/12 movement. BTW, I find Glenn Beck's use of the tragedy of 9/11 to push his phony movement OFFENSIVE as he ll.

What message are you talking about? Anti-government spending--except when Bush was doing it? Anti-health care for people that aren't wealthy? The 9/12 movement is dishonest at its base. There are legitimate criticisms of Obama, but they haven't been making any. Perhaps you just refuse to see it.

Nobody is classifying the "entire 9/12 movement" as racist. There is a certain segment of it; however, which is. The rest of them are just uninformed shills of Dick Armey and Fox.

"In every group there are idiots"

Interesting how Beck insists ALL of Acorn are idiots because they have a few idiotic volunteers.

And that Obama is a communist because of Van Jones.

Start at around the 3 minute mark. Beck makes the argument that having more than one bad apples indicates that something's wrong with the whole organization.

There seems a considerable amount of conservative bashing going on that I find to be hypocritical. Comments criticizing right-wing and conservatives are far more prevalent on MM than those criticizing the left or liberals. That to me suggests that the people who write these comments are no better, just on the opposite side of the issue. I try to look at all issues from a "middle-wing" point of view, because both left or right suggest a form of extremism. We all should try and base our positions on facts not ideals, otherwise we're no better than those media outlets who do promote ideals instead of reporting facts.

Can someone please tell me what is racist about the protests? I have not seen anything racist. Please show me specific instances of racism. I don't understand how protesting over taxation and government control and interference of health care is racist.

      Fellow Matterers,

G.Beck is asking a question, apparently missing what he sees, on screen. I recall a sign, "We did not come with guns, [this time]." Another had Pres. Obama with a Hitler mustache, another with, "socialist," written on it, and still, another person carrying a sign with a swastika, drawn on it.

Wait a second...those signs are acceptable, to him. How could I confuse his love, for my issue?

      It be it,
      Ronin Kannushi.
