Nowdays conservatives want to play the victims. Rather than taking responsibility for extremist in their midst, they claim to be victimized by the race card even though Carter made it very clear that protesting and criticizing does not make one a racist.

For years liberals have been criticized for not doing enough to criticize leftist extremist. Anti war protesters were accused of lacking decorum and thus patriotism. The hypocracy of someone like Beck complaining that Obama associated in the past with leftist (such as Ayers) while at the same time celebrating the teabagger anger defies all logic. No suprise there.

I guess right wing anger should be understood up until the shots are fired. Right wing anger by definition is virtuous.

Bottom line, Republicans welcomed 'race baiting' tactics as their party's legitimate opposition for HealthCare Reform Debate. The first showings of angry Americans at TownHall Meetings were senior citizens (with Medicare/Medicaid Insurance) proudly yelling how mad they were about loosing their liberties and wanted their Country back. Huh? How does HealthCare Reform mean Americans lost their liberty and Country?

Well, Republicans "loved" this and eased in to become these people's political voice on the Hill. These people's anger led to people carrying guns, name calling, and on and on. When the Media asked if these people's 'race baiting' anger could lead to violence as Speaker Pelosi quoted, these same Republicans don't see the connection. Republicans must muddy the water on this issue so their party is "NOT" blamed. Once again, the Republicans become political wizards in moving the blame of 'wrong doings' back to the Democrats. Next... LOL

What was disappointing about this prig's stupid comment was the panel's reaction. Standing in my kitchen pouring coffee I could think of a dozen ways to refute that statement and yet the others at the roundtable had---nothing.

I'm so tired of the low quality of debate in our country when fools like Will can say the most moronic things and go unchallenged.

I've been saying the same thing for months and months. It's like no one on the Left knows how to argue.

I know I don't think of all the greatest rebuttals but the Left seems to be completely devoid of ANY good rebuttals.

The illegals getting health insurance is probably one of the easiest to tackle, followed by the death panels.

I am agreement with you. Media Matters is "chuck full" of rebuttals, but where are the writers and newscasters on radio, newspapers and T.V. who directly refute the Right's disinformation? I am still wondering why John Kerry never really fought back at the lies told about him during his presidential race. Why can't those capable of providing the factual answers to Right Wingers' disinformation come forward to defend integrity and truth in media. I am not capable of the amazing writing tht goes on at Media Matters, but I would love to sign a petition that demands that we "fight back with the truth" and restore freedom of speech to those of us who want the truth told.
