Except for, you know, the fact that he doesn't have anything to do with them now, and represented them once many years ago in court.

Because for certain, there is no better source of power and wealth in this country than poor people.

I mean, what Rush and his minions are saying about ACORN doesn't even make sense.

Well, Rush...Barack is different things to different people.

To some he may be ACORN. To others he is the antichrist. To some he is Bill Ayers. Some think he is the resurrection of Karl Marx. Some believe he's a Kenyan. To others, he's Jeremiah Wright. But, more importantly, to most Americans, Barack Obama is a decent man with a high intellect who took over the reins of a very screwed up country.

The hialrious efforts to tie Obama to Acorn have gone beyond ludicrous and into the truly pathetic and shameful. At this point, I'm not even sure Rush or his listeners even knwo what Acord IS, other than something that "bad" and "Liberal". (And since it's Liberal, it MUST be bad!) And what evidence do they have of this link?

      ------------------------------------------------------------------
Christ, when has Limbaugh ever needed evidence?!

Thing is, ACORN claims to be non-partisan. They'll gladly help any poor person of any political persuassion.

It's a safe bet [for them] though...

Let's face it: The only poor Republicans live in - I'll be tactful - rural areas.

Doesn't Acorn typically operate in urban areas?

This link is worthy of a repost. Too bad the reichwing doesn't get upset over republican groups voter registration fraud...
If only the Republicans who have worked up a frenzy over ACORN's alleged crimes were so indignant about real and damaging voter fraud -- such as the amazing case of Young Political Majors, the firm that ran GOP registration efforts in California, Massachusetts, Florida, Arizona and elsewhere before the authorities in Orange County, Calif., busted its president, Mark Anthony Jacoby, and sent him to jail last year. He had built a lucrative partisan career by teaching his minions to deceive thousands of voters into registering as Republicans rather than Democrats, among other scams. Of course, the only on-air mention of the Young Political Majors scandal on Fox News was made by blogger Brad Friedman -- and the national media, mainstream and conservative, generally ignored it. They were too busy generating "controversy" over ACORN.
Remember the wall to wall media coverage this got, especially on Fox? ;)

You know, I like most of the products that Ford Motor Company puts out. And I've done FAR more work, in terms of man-hours, for Ford Motor Comapny than Obama ever did for Acorn.

      So accordign to Rush's 'logic'...

      I AM Ford Motor Company!

      Who knew?

I wonder what my customer (that would be: Ford Motor Company) would think of that bold declaration?

I think, just like myself, who has done a far amount of work for Ford over the years, they'd probably say, no, no you're not a part of Ford.

OT, but I do like the look of the new Taurus SHO.

Oh no... I'm not PART of Ford. According to Rush: I AM Ford!

On the OT: Yeah, it looks like they'll be able to revive that brand, after having utterly killed it, similar to what they did for the Mustang, back in the mid-90's. Now they just need to figure out how to make money on the FOCUS and they'll be SET! :)

I think most of us read 1984 as a cautionary tale.

Rush seems to have used it as an instruction manual.

Just like Obama used to represent ACORN years ago. You used to be on oxy pills years ago. (Maybe relapsed!)

The guy should be drug tested every time he gets behind a microphone. I'd bet he'd have even more than the frequent absences from his show he has now.

I look forward to the GOP running against ACORN in 2010 and 2012. But much to their chagrin, ACORN will be nowhere on the ballots, and the GOP will remain nowhere in the scheme of running the nation.
