They obviously didn't listen to the speech. As Chuck Todd said this morning, "They had their scripts written before Obama's speech was even uttered." It makes them sound stupid . . . well, more stupid than they already sound.

Right. FOX's script said 'Obama apologized' and 'Obama took a shot at Bush'. All that was left after the speech was finding some phrase somewhere where FOX could claim Obama "essentially" said those things--even tho Obama really didn't--and then broadcasting the "news" in the mocking way they always do.

Okay, so let's say he DID apologize.

What then? What detriment would that be to this country? What catastrophic event will unfold to the suffering anguish of us all because our President said "I'm sorry"?

If one takes a deep breath and stands back from this, it's easy to see that they're talking about this like it's a story with a deeper meaning and more dire consequences than just the president giving a speech and acknowledging past mistakes. But the lack of any kind of follow-up by these second-rate talking heads, any discussion of how an "apology tour" would be detrimental to the U.S. is telling. They got nothin'. Nothin' but the assumption of their audience that if it's about Obama and it sounds bad, it is.

35% of this country is vulnerable to their rhetoric and willing to absorb it uncritically. I can only hope that some day in the near future, Fox will be viewed in the same light as we regard the old traveling medicine shows. Until that day comes, those who profit from misleading the public will continue to have an ally in the shamelessly greedy Murdoch empire.

Now come on neon, if we apologize for something we do, it's the end of our country and way of life. The earth will ricochet off the moon, and be thrown into the sun.

Not only will these catastrophic events happen, but the morning Clown Show over at Fox Noise will be off the air.

        I thought everyone knew this.

            Oh crap. I just apologized.

Thanks to Fox and Fiends, only now, and far too late, am I aware of the consequences of apologies. Who knows how long before the karma of apologizing works it's way back to me and gives me my due. How long do I have to rue this day, this day that I apolo

The power of an apology is amazing.
I am going to be a bit personal, but I am sure others feel that way.

When someone does something to hurt me, I cannot forgive them if they just continue about. If they apologize, it doesn't mean anything all the time. But if they apologize and they GET why I am upset, then it means way more and I can let it go.

The administration doesn't think the word torturing? Is that English? George W NEEDS to be apologized for! He was reckless, ignorant and blatantly wrong in multiple policies like I dont know ... The iraq war, guatanamo bay, redefining torture to use it, ignoring global warming, and much much more! That does not require an apology? The only problem is the wrong person is apologizing. George W and Cheney should be apologizing, not Obama for them.

Thank you Pete, for showing how Republicans and MSM had let former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin off the hook for her speech in China. When bad things happen with Republicans there is nothing to see or hear, huh? LOL

Considering they are just bits of her speech I can't totally condemn her but the parts that were passed on to the press really sound like the dumba55 she is.

Notice how Fox & Friends spoke over 2 minutes "negatively" in making it appear as if President Obama "apologized" in his speech at the UN yesterday. And then, Fox & Friends closed with 10 seconds of "positive" words about President Obama's speech. Just shameful, huh?

Well, Fox & Friends are just "masters" with their 'fair & balanced' news coverage. Unbelievable with how "bias" Fox & Friends continues to be in "smearing" a sitting American President. Hmmm.

POINT IS: Obama says the most negative things about our country than any other President ever has. Especially when addressing the country itself!

Does NOTHING to make Americans want to come together and get stuff fixed. Like ACORN. Like terrorist attacks. Like off-the-rocker czars.
