So how come the one woman from AOL, a communication company has a better handle on life than the out of touch idiot Dr. Janice. What a stupid cow! I worked with kids who experienced power outages or no hot water, hunger, and flat out homelessness because their families were poor and troubled. And Dr. Janice wants her kids to be appalled and flinch when seeing a homeless person. That's right! Look down on these poor kids and feel superior, they aren't positive or empowered and therefore demand to know why they are in such a place! Imagine how the girl whose father leaves and they end up homeless or in some dingy apartment because dad left (and I can tell you, if my mother had left my father when I was a kid, that would have happened to me), this numbskull is telling her that it is her and her mother's fault for being abandoned and impovershed because they were dependent and they shouldn't grieve either, I guess, because grief is such a negative emotion! Here is reality, some parents leave, some families loose their homes, some families loose their money, and the kids end up in dire straights, it is a common household word for them, and if playing with a doll that has a fictionalized life just like theirs is makes it better or brings a face and a name to those who aren't suffering, I say let the dolly alone. To American Girl, I would recommend sending some money to homeless shelters, that is a good idea.

Oh my God you guys, American Doll should have made a Miss America doll/TV news reader if they wanted to empower young girls. The doll would come complete with short skirts, a botox kit, and a teleprompter.

And fake eyeslashes so she can never fall flat on her face. The beady-eyed, pasty faced, dumb as a post male sidekick is available to complete the package.

The 'post male sidekick' is Ken, isn't it?

Still, the doll with an empty plastic head would still be smarter than the real thing on Faux.

Instead of making up this contrived "controversy" about a homeless doll, how about doing story about the real and living homeless children in America.

I am surprised they even alluded in some way that, in their America (you know, the one they want back), there is a homeless problem.

Because there aren't any. Or, if there are, they've only been homeless since January 20, when President Obama proceeded to quadruple the deficit.

Oh, there are Homeless Veterans now, too. That phenomenon also started on January 20.

And if there are homeless children, it a choice they made! They could've gotten work in one of those right wing sweatshops if they weren't so lazy.

The Obama Administration's Budget looks bad because it has all of the spending the Bush Administration was doing but not claiming. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were never budgeted. Also, the Bush Adminstration gave out the first stimulus package. W was never as good as Ronnie at selling Reaganomics to the people. You can't raise spending and cut taxes and not expect a crash if you have any sort of an IQ.

Forget real life. Lets have dolls that have dream houses, corvettes, and 1000s of clothes. Oh wait...its called Barbie. How realistic is that? Its telling girls that they must become models like Barbie in order to get all these nice things.

This is not real news Fox. This is something for local news stations or something about outraged parents. Why does Fox think that they should impose their 'morals' on everyone else and try to call it news? Talk about something important like the economy, jobless claims, Obama indoctrinating kids into Hitler youth groups or something.

I never really made the Barbie connection, but looking at all the blondes on Fox and other conservative media outlets, one has to wonder?

I wonder if the men on Fox news share any physical similarities with Ken...?

What a dumb female dog. All of these dolls costs almost $100. Little girls playing with dolls don't really care what the story is, they just want to play. Roll model dolls? Is Barbie a roll model?

That is another good point. These $100 dolls are not to be played with. They are collectibles. You don't even take them out of the package.

Maybe the doll should try *not* being homeless instead? Good grief. The woman on the right "wants" her children to be appalled by the homeless? Appalled into doing what? Is she afraid her child would love the doll? I just can't imagine a thought provoking toy like this not causing a teachable moment. Honestly, how could that possibly be bad? I mean even a victim-blaming wingnut with intractable rectal/cranial inversion could think of *something* to do with the doll. Ignore it. Build a little orphanage for it. Make it live in the back seat...or the backyard....? Call it "it"?
Oh and I loved the way they obsessed on the cost of the doll. That was priceless. I'm a little disappointed they didn't claim that Article 1, Section 9 of the constitution limits the price of importing homeless dolls to $10.00. Good grief x 10^23.

ROTFL You are so funny! I can't stop laughing. Thank you.

That DR. also said she wanted her children to be sickened by homeless children. I picture her, taking the hand of her own kids and walking way around the homeless child so they don't get germs. Bet she couldn't conceive of her kids playing with a homeless child. Maybe she doesn't want the doll to inspire her kids to be homeless. OMG where did she go to school? A Dr. of what? Self taught no doubt.

The Fox idea of "wrong message on killing" may not be the same as yours. They support putting our soldiers lives in danger whenever possible ...Even if they have to make up stuff. The idea of WMD's works in a pinch.

QUICK, QUICK we must market some ACORN dolls. We could raise money for ACORN to get them out of their jam.

Or talking idiot dolls named Rush, Glenn & Sean. We could raise money for our soldiers.

Making dolls of Rush, Glenn, or Sean would send a message that lying, dishonesty, corruption, making money off of an ignorant neanderthal audience and damaging America and undermining the President for self-serving reasons are all positive attributes. Of course, they already believe those are all positive attributes, especially the last one if the President happens to be a Democrat.

          THANK YOU.

      *slaps forehead*

how is this in any way newsworthy?

oh yeah, for fox news it is, seeing as how they are great at covering pointless stories that inject paranoia in people's minds.

"oh my god, a doll that looks like a homeless person! i want my daughter to have a doll that looks like paris hilton with blonde hair and big boobs! that is the kind of role model she needs!"

      pathetic.
