Do they also accepting gender roles because they're being called out by a man named "Weiner?"

Well, they would if Weiner acted like a man instead of a whimpering fool.

Get used to it, Savage. You can't change history, and the President of the United Stste's middle name is "Hussein." The future children of this nation will forever learn and study about a man who bears that name.

It explains why your side wants to smear, malign, and deligitimize this moment in history, as much as you do.

The Silly Savage does not have a "side." He has an edge - at the very, very fringe of reality.

That would make him one-dimensional... Ah, I see your point.

Was King Hussein of Jordan, who married an American beauty queen, a bad guy? What makes a name bad? What makes a name given to someone at birth bad?

All I know is that I began using Arabic numerals in school many, many years ago, and I now accept arabic names without any reservations at all. My lack of wariness can only point to one thing: It's obvious that I was indoctrinated during arithmetic.

Heaven forbid that the land of immigrants accept the names of people from foreign countries.

We can't all go by "Weiner", after all.

Heaven forbid they are forced to accept Arabic names. I guess my son is doomed because his name is Arabic too. I guess we'll just have to brainwash him back (to gain Savage's approval) by using his middle name from now on.

God forbid that we should accept Muslim names! How do you think you would have reacted if you heard some goyish radio guy talking about how morally wrong it is to accept Hebrew names, Michael Weiner? The difference between you and me is that I think both of them would wrong and hateful, but you only hate Muslims. You need to go back and study your Torah, mister. Remember the Golden Rule, if it is hateful to you, do not do it to your brother. And in case you forgot, Ishmael was Isaac's brother.

Seriously- who has to be "brainwashed into accepting Arabic names?" Why do they require our acceptance in the first place?

Whose permission did Weiner seek out before changing his name?

A lot of Americans have problems with Islam, and Muslim names are a problem for them. And I don't think Mikey took the name "Savage" to hide his ancestory, I think he took it to make a statement about his attitude and outlook. The man is a savage who enjoys being savage to people. And that savagery is the worst thing about him.

Are you sure? Because I was thinking that he took the name as an homage to Dan Savage, the gay sex-advice columnist. I think maybe there's more than a little hero worship going on there. Maybe a little vicarious living by the Weiner...

Well, I wasn't really familiar with Dan Savage, however, Dan's column does predate Mikey's radio show, and Mikey hung out with some famous gay people earlier in his career, so you may be on to something.

I'll bet Weiner's head would explode if he realized that Keith Ellison, the Representative, is a Muslim, and Harlan Ellison, the writer, is Jewish.

I wonder what kids would have to accept if they read things written by either of them.

(And I'm not even bringing up Ralph Ellison, who would probably single-handedly bring Weiner to the point of severe cranial dispersion.)

Compare these songs and tell me which sounds like indoctrination.

      Obama song:
      Mm, mmm, mm!
      Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
      Mmm, mmm, mm!
      Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
      Equal work means equal pay
      Mmm, mmm, mm!
      Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
      Mmm, mmm, mm!
      Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
      Mmm, mmm, mm!
      Barack Hussein Obama

      Yes!
      Mmm, mmm, mm
      Barack Hussein Obama

      North Korea song:
Changbai Hills roll, stained with blood
Yalu River meanders, soaked in blood
Today Free Chosŏn's wreath of glories
      Radiates holy rays

      2.

Vast snowy fields of Manchuria please tell me
Endless night deep in the Taiga please tell me
Immortal guerilla warrior, who is he?
      Outstanding patriot, who is it?

      3.

Liberator of the working people, our saviour
      Democratic new Chosŏn, great Sun
We rally around the 20 Principles
Everywhere in North Korea is spring

      Refrain

Oh- Our brilliant and beloved General
Oh- Our exalted leader General Kim Il-sung

I lived in South Korea for ten years. South Korea has a lot in common with the United States, but North Korea has almost nothing in common. The difference is that Obama doesn't stop any other information from coming into the country, nor does he crush opposition. He doesn't stage pointless public extravaganzas to shower praise on him. We have a free and open society. Get used to it.

Other than that these were just a handful of school kids acknowledging Black History Month and the first black President's commitment to equality, unity and making our country strong again, and that the North Korean song is about a brutal, guerilla warrior-dictator, blood stained hills and endless nights---you're right: they both have words and verses.

The conservatives were mocked for using the word "Hussein" when talking about Obama. The Demorats were outraged when conservatives used the word in saying Obama's full name. 9-11 terrorists were associated with that name. Now it's fine to use it in teaching children to "honor' this pathetic socialist President. There is serious brainwashing going on and we will all pay a price for letting the worst of history repeat itself.

I'm sure I don't need to tell regulars here that Arabic words and names have assimilated into our lexicon since before the solidification of modern English. Indeed, while the Church kept Europe illiterate during medieval times, it was Arabs who preserved classical knowledge (and I understand Columbus had an Arabic translator in his crew). This particular assertion of Weiner's is especially hard to defend against suspicions of racism or other ethnocentric, supremacist sentiment.

Do you realize we would have to drop most names of stars? Most of the names for individual stars (not constellations) are Arabic derived. We would also have to drop such terms as 'azumuth' (used in ballistics, so the Army is obviously 'brainwashed', also in Astronomy, but we already know them scientists are all evil for not accepting Creationism).

      Brainwashing?!

Parents should worry more about their children being dumbed down every single day in school.

Outraged yesterday when told that for fourth grade writing assignment homework, parents should not correct their childs spelling errors because the school is only concerned with the writing. The school no longer teaches nor tests for spelling.

Schools rationale...wait for it... computers have spell check.

The likely reason behind the song's refrain saying "Barack Hussein Obama"?

      It was better rhythmically.

There is a video on youtube.com called Jesus Camp. It was shown on Bill Maher's show. They had a 5 YEAR OLD talking about being saved! WTF! Also the children praised a cardboard cutout of GWB! Now that is scary! Not a song that was sung last Febuary for Black History Month for our first african-american president. See the right-wing radio and TV shows did not say the whole story to the song just what they wanted to create drama as usual! BIG FAIL!
