What evidence does Rush have that Obama 'can't make up his mind' or 'doesn't want to win'? Sounds like he's just pulling it out of ass.

Obama has to mop up after Bush's many messes, and according to Rush is to blame for not moping fast enough.

Rush is absolutely right. Obama said that afghanistan is a war we need to win just a year ago in july. Now he needs to play to the far left nuts and appease them. This guy is a joke.

BTW, the war in Afghanistan could have been won in Tora Bora in December 2001, but the powers that be let bin Laden "slip away." They had him cornered and they let him "slip away." They were too busy trying to figure out how to prosecute a phony attack on Iraq.

        Obama's not the joke.

Exactly, it's Bush's little diversion in Iraq that caused the current mess in Afghanistan.

It's draft-dodging nitwit neocons that are too concerned with tough-guy posturing to worry about what's in the country's best interest.

BINTX you are so right. The RIGHTIES keep saying that BUSH kept us safe but never comment on the fact that they screwed up royal when it came to running both the AFGAN and IRAQ wars.

Of course, contrary to the words that have come out of Obama's mouth indicating the importance of Afghanistan, and that he does want to "win" there.

In this case, I believe the word "win" would mean the following:

Taking down of the Taliban in total, and either re-incorporating Taliban back into the government/citizenry of Afghanistan, or wiping them out as much as possible.

A stable and democratically elected Afghan government.

A stable and secure country without the influence of Pakistan coming into the mix.

A strong and able national defense made up of Afghan nationals with little or no support from the US or NATO countries.

Those are just a few things I think of when we define "win" in Afghanistan.

Limbaugh claims Obama "cannot decide even if he wants to win" in Afghanistan

Well, Limpy, its not like he's the only one:

"As we fight the enemy in Iraq, every man and woman who volunteers to defend our nation deserves an unwavering commitment to the mission and a clear strategy for victory." - President Bush's Speech on the War on Terrorism
Delivered at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md

""I don't think you can win it" - President Bush on the Today Show, in response to a question of whether or not the War on Terror can be won
