I know you just lookin' out for the kids Bill, but where were you when Laura Bush had the Katrina kids singing the praises of George W's great emergency response.

Don't you love the faith bill&Co have in their own efforts to indoctrinate the public.
Any little action that might somehow possibly support our president and somehow their house of cards is in danger.
Somehow children singing a song that mentions the president throws all their efforts out the window.
Imagine the panic if a sizable portion of the media were to call them out on their hyperbole.
Hot house neoconservatism seems like such a fragile flower to see a threat in the actions of children who probably can't even remember all the words to the song they sang back in Febuary.

I checked yesterday afternoon when the school kids were walking to the bus, no goose stepping, or singing about Obama.

Don't worry I'm on top of this breaking story. I'll be out again this afternoon, checking for goose stepping, singing kids.

It seems that this tape was done a while ago and as part of a salute the presidents (plural) project. Jon Stewart has a piece at the beginning of his Sept 28th show revealing what actually happened.

where is the regular mainstream press on this?

Indoctrination and making money out of it.

I don't miss his radio show. It was only a one long infomercial for his books. Oh, and buy one of his "Don't be a pinhead mug/bumber sticker/t-shirt." It helps the troops you know.

Bill O'Reilly seems to complain that the teachers and students in the school of politicizing the school system. First off though, I think a lot of people would disagree with you. Pres. Obama is the first African-American president. If the teachers and the school administrators say that this song was put together for Black history month in February, doesn't it seem logical? And Bill, did you ever complain about politicizing the school system when a bunch of people want to introduce intelligent design or creationism instead of evolution?
If the teachers and the staff at the school had done this again and again, then maybe there would be something to this idea of indoctrination. Many people would agree that they're doing it because Obama is president, not because he is some kind of cult leader. And besides how can you call something that happens only once in only one school indoctrination?

Thing is, this whole fauxrage is being generated over something that happened in, yes, wait for it, February. What are the chances these kids even remember singing this song, let alone the words to it, and or what it even meant. I mean, these are kids. They're a lot more concerned about recess, playing with their friends, and doing, you know, kid things, than they are about what Obama is doing. At least, when I was that age, those were the things I'm pretty sure I worried about, not that I can remember much more than that from school during those times.

This whole "indoctrination" thing is so ridiculous.

Bill O'Reilly--along with FOX News--is exploiting these children for every single tenth of a rating point they can wring out of them. The notion that he and FOX really care a whit about these kids other than using them to attack Obama is a total sham.
