"This is going to be a disaster on a level that we've never seen in American politics..."

That's rich. How exactly would having the Olympics in an American city end up being the biggest disaster ever? Sure, traffic would be a nightmare, but I'm sure there must be SOMETHING in the history of American politics that eclipses the potential of having the 2016 Olympics here......

      Hmmmm.......

        This.

I mean, sure it's not politics, but I think it's bad enough that those kind of boundaries don't matter anymore.

He's right. Obama continuing to create jobs would be a disaster for the reich's hopes of capitolizing off of the bush recession.

Ah, good ol' Pat Caddell. If there's one thing more useless and craven than a Fox News Democrat, it's a Glenn Beck Democrat.

A disaster like we've never seen in American politics...? Big fan of hyperbole, eh, Pat?

But, of course, we don't want the prestige of hosting the Olympic games...no, no, no. Let some other country have it.

President Bush Meets with Chicago 2016 Bid Committee and United States Olympic Committee Members

"They say that the Olympics will come to Chicago if we're fortunate enough to be selected, but really it's coming to America, and I can't think of a better city to represent the United States than Chicago." --- George W. Bush

We will win the nod for the Olymipics. One thing you can take to the bank...if there was ANY chance we wouldn't be awarded the games, Barry would NEVER have taken this European Vacation!

"Some people say." ... "That's the word."

WHO? Who said it? When, where, on what basis?

You know what gets me about this as much as, if not more than, anything else about it? The utter, craven intellectual cowardice of advancing innuendo in a way by which you can later claim that you have no responsibility for it. The utterly craven, utterly cowardly, act of these rancid Death Eaters in refusing to be responsible for the meaning of their own words.

Some people say Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in the 1980s. There's even a website about it, and Beck hasn't denied it, so, where there's smoke...

I didn't realize Beck's mother killed herself when he was younger. If a little monster like Glenn Beck came out of my body, I'd probably kill myself too.

That is no laughing matter but it would explain some things if mental illness runs in his family.

When Beck leaves others' families out of it, his family will stop being "fair game." Isn't that how Karl Rove described it?

Jen7, Beck has brought his family into it. I used to listen to Beck on the radio. He talked about his mother's "suicide" at least once a week. He uses the death of his mother as a tool.

According to local authorities, Beck's mother's death was an accidental drowning when he was 15, not 13 as he likes to say.

I agree with the crazy bearded man This is going to be a disaster on a level that we've never seen in American politics.

      Except of course durring the:
1904 Summer Games in St. Louis
      1932 Summer Games in LA
1932 Winter Games in Lake Placid (NY)
1960 Winter Games in Squaw Valley (CA)
1980 Winter Games in Lake Placid
      1984 Summer Games in LA
      1996 Summer Games in Atlanta
2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City (Utah)

But other then those 8 times we have never seen a disaster like this in American Politics :)

The Atlanta bomber was an anti-abortion terrorist. Eric Robert Rudolph was a member of the very uber right wing extremist, white supremacist movement called Christian Identity.

Oh well it seems like Beck hates Obama more than he loves America and wouldn't mind hurting America if it means he he gets to hurt Obama. Does he think the would is America? Guess what Beck I live in Copenhagen and I'm looking forward to seeing Obama. You might have just killed Chicago's chances with your speculation no one will care if it's not true the doubt is out there. In the words of Press Sec Gibbs, "Who's he rooting for?" Funny thing is it was about the same issue.

Not a Beck fan. And no this will no be the worst disaster in American politics.

      Easily Bush/Cheney in recent memory.

However, frequently these trappings of the Olympics become nothing more than a white elephant. There has to be a better use for the money in regards to infrastructure at this time.
