And this is why I've taken to calling them FOX Propaganda.

By the way, Bill, nobody cheerleads for global warming. We want it stopped, not furthered.

Glenn Beck is not an 'everyman'. He's barely human. And it's not a question of who he says he is, it's a question of the lies he spreads every time he opens his mouth on air. He's called our President a racist with a deep seated hatred of white people. No evidence at all to back that claim up. Simple defamation.

If you don't want personal attacks, Mr. O'Reilly, if you think they are so horrifying and immoral, perhaps you should lead the way by ceasing to use them yourself. Or, do you need to 'research' that?

In essence, O'Reilly is saying that by pushing the tea parties, particularly with false information, FOX news is no better than the so-called liberal MSM.

And, BTW, Bill, Sean Hannity calls himself an Independent...not a Reagan Republican.

Sean Hannity can call himself anything he wants, doesn't change what he is. I heard Laura Ingraham the other day tell a guest "what do the liberals think, that we just get talking points from the GOP? I don't work for the Republican party?" Of course you do, and so does Sean. Ingraham, Hannity and all the rest praise Reagan up and down, bash Democrats constantly, bleat the same talking points daily, and then have the gall to say "Hey, I'm an Independent!"

Please. These guys are ALL Registered Republicans who talk and vote the straight party line, period.

Wow ....I never expected to hear something like this from him....

I don't see Fox News bringing him back...

He basically said that Fox News lied about how grassroots the tea parties happen to be...

This is the second time in a little over a month that Goldberg has called out certain people on FOX. Do you think maybe he doesn't like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity? Or maybe he's just becoming embarrassed to be associated with a fraudulent group like FOX which poses as a legitimate news organization.

I think O'Reilly knows exactly what Goldberg is going to say before the show tapes. He makes token objections to some of Goldberg's comments, but he allows them on his air and even concedes some points that reflect badly on his fellow talking heads.

How better to set himself apart from the loons whose shows precede (Beck) and follow (Hannity) his?

Even O'Reilly doesn't want to be lumped in with them.

It's true. In the past month or so, O'Reilly has made an effort to separate himself from a lot of the rhetoric. However, he still allows his "guests" to smear away, typically without refutation.

Beck and Hannity do pretend to be "journalists." Beck claims he is informing/reporting to his audience things not being reported in the MSM. And, of course, they pick and choose which facts to leave out. They are liars, pure and simple, by ommission and commission. But, if they are called out, then go to the fallback position--"I'm not a journalist, I just voice my opinion."

What's funny (not really) is that Hannity is ALWAYS preaching that journalism is dead while on the other hand continue to push it further in the hole!

You can't say your not a journalist and then act like a journalist...Now how many times have I heard that before? Of course, this is nothing new, but what is interesting is that it ever got on the air at Fox "News".

Kudos to Bernie. He's right (albeit ten years late). Better late than never I guess.

Bernie, Bernie, you had better think about suing the doctor who did your lobotomy. It's looking like it wasn't completely successful.

If you would like to know who does the best lobotomy, check in with old Glennie there at Fox Noise. (He's the one with the blackboard)

It's good to know that Earth Day and The 9/12 Project are equivalent. Clean up the environment vs Run the socialist Dems out of office. Yeah, that's a good comparison?

See how Bill O'Reilly plays dumb. This idiot speaks out of both sides of his mouth. His weak analogy about Global warning verses Fox "commentators" cheerleading protesters is a clear example of Bill's willingness to engage in propaganda (and lies).
Bill knows Bernie is right (most times Bernie is in the tank for Fox News) but he refuses to acknowledge it, so Fox News can comply and practice their "fair and balanced" slogan.
Fox News must be really bad for Bernie to speak out against Fox. I say he should have done it a long time ago. I predict Fox will do nothing to change its ways. They have an agenda, and that agenda is to bring down Obama and his administration.

So, saying you aren't a journalist allows you to lie?

It's a predictable pattern with Bill O'Really. When his "guest" starts to make a point that makes him look stupid, interruptus maximus kicks in. He interrupts the guest & tries to shut them down.

Good for Bernie to not fall for that.

BTW - To equate rallies to address a fact like global warming to made-up nonsense to whip up the crowds at the tea parties, is just a continuation of ignorance and stupidity. Something Fox and their viewers have an abundance of.

Bernie may be upset that people less talented in the "make-up lies" world have their own TV programs.

Bernie, are you ready to bend over in front of Rush..or were your words taken out out context?

Do it again and you will gain credibility...because it is worth repeating.

If Glenn Beck is an "Everyman", he's certainly not me.

      He's not a lecturer.
      He's not a journalist.
      He's not an expert.

      He's a comedian.
      He's an entertainer.
      He's a commentator.

However, people see him as all six of these roles and then some.

Bernie makes a very legitimate point. If you're going to be a commentator, do not spread false information and then claim you're not a journalist. You're doing a journalist's work to provide news that we then have to fact check and verify.

Basically, the "commentator" is a journalist before he has his work edited for fact, and that's what they should state. More use of "I think", "I believe", "I guess", less use of "It's true!"
