I'm in love with Rachel Maddow, but I can't help but wonder, why is the change on the website taken as fact? I mean, just because the internet says something is so, or isn't so, doesn't mean it's fact.

"why is the change on the website taken as fact?"

Because it's the original cited source of the Gaspard smear effort. That original source is now admitting he was wrong.

Of course, the right-wing professional liars won't let this revelation get in the way of their latest effort to defend white culture by taking down another scary black man.

I guess what I'm getting at is was the change made because he was wrong, or because he realized "oh crap".

I mean, I guess I'm playing Devil's advocate. I wish Maddows would have made a stronger point on why the allegation isn't true. I mean, just because the founder of ACORN revised his blog to say "this guy never worked for ACORN" doesn't hold a lot of weight. Does that make sense?

She just seemed kind of weak on her explanation... weaker than normal.

Maybe just me. Maybe she's having a bad day. I love her anyway.

Hate to say so, but I agree. The original source may have made a mistake and corrected it when brought to his attention, but it would have been nice to show additional sources, such as photos, videos, or even a time line proving otherwise... even an old W2.

It is not like this person had done anything wrong, but with the right's notion that ACORN is a thug mafia, simply stating the correction is not going to make any argument for the simpletons who get duped by Fox News.

All Maddow has to do is stop using terms like "we're getting all super-majority-y on you" and squeaking while doing it, and dump the terminally unfunny Kent Jones, and she'll have a truly great show.

Does she go to the school of Oberloser want to be’s, talking in a deep voice trying to be all Oberloser. WOW, does anyone even watch her? What kind of ratings does she get? I wonder if she gets daily memos from the WH like other MSNBC folks get? It must really hurt to know that when the Obama Admin changes in a few years she will be out of a job. I bet she gets tingles up her leg as well.

Sure all it will take is a change of administration and there goes any liberal comentary on MSNBC. Something more for you to dream about. Pat B could take over her slot. Bet that puts a tingle up your legs right?

Ah, another ratings loser . . . RATINGS don't equal quality and the only folks that RATINGS matter to are advertisers and networks. I don't base my television viewing on ratings . . . apparently, you do. You are really missing out. Bones is a great show and gets FAR better ratings that O'Reilly . . . well, in fact, it gets better ratings than the entire Fox evening line up.
