      Another fear for the Cons..

Is someone keeping a running list of these fears.

How things that are frightening, how they are scared, what's dangerous? A count of those words in a Hannity program have to hit fifty times a day.

Don't question the premise. If people start questioning the premise, then Beck might have to have a show based on reality, and that would require him to do show prep more extensive than the almost 10 whole minutes each morning already that he spends on the john.

A better question might be "Which will come first: The end of Beck's career, or the premise so outlandish, so plainly insane, so ridiculously contrary to the laws of the known universe that even Glennnnn won't pose it?". I think Art Bell and Phil Hendrie have given us the answer already.

The state of New York has apparently decided on mandatory vaccination for health care workers, due to increased exposure and increased likeliness to spread infection. It's common practice, it's often done, it's often employer-mandated. It's also not a conspiracy, just public health policy, which the government has a right to set.

According to the dictionary definition, it is a conspiracy...and it is public health policy.

I don't like these policies, so then they don't exist. Right MMFA?

Conspiracy. Root word? Conspire. Definition of conspire:

To join in a secret agreement to do an unlawful or wrongful act or an act which becomes unlawful as a result of the secret agreement.

Two prime points: The government requiring health workers to be vaccinated is not something they met in secret to decide. Further, it is not an unlawful act, nor did it become one as a result of the meeting.

This therefor fails to meet the dictionary definition of conspirarcy, tuersm3856.

Healthcare workers and volunteers here in Texas have two options. They can get the vaccines for both flu shots, or they can wear an effective face mask.

This is truly a non-issue. Healthcare providers are now required to use alcohol rubs between patients so that they don't transmit germs on their hands from one sick person to another. A hospital is a very dangerous, germy place to be - about the worst place you can find where people hang out in an industrialized nation, even with all their precautions. They have to do everything they can to try to minimize the risk, which includes demanding that their workers don't accidentally infect patients and help spread the epidemic.

But they aren't required to have the vaccine. I don't know if the NY healthcare workers have similar exemptions for mask usage.

It looks like the NY workers can be transferred to non-patient facing roles if they refuse the vaccine. But clearly some of them are not well educated. One article I read said "Several registered nurses said they will neither contract nor transmit the flu because they’re constantly washing their hands." Well, I got news for you gals. The H1N1 virus is most likely to be caught because someone sneezed or coughed and some of the germs entered the air around them, and while suspended in the air, you breathed them in as you walked past. It's not a virus infection that's well-spread by hand to nose contact, so it doesn't matter how often you wash your hands with regards to contracting the disease, and you can't guarantee that you'll always catch every droplet of disease-carrying air that exits your lungs!

Right, Glennn...they're going to be drugged and dragged off to a FEMA concentration camp. Pregnant women will be forced to undergo abortions. Then flu vaccine will be forcibly administered...anally. The flu vaccine will also contain certain psychotropic drugs designed to facilitate indoctrination into Obama's Marxist reconstruction of America. These are indeed scary times, Glennn...and America appreciates your scaring the hell out of gullible morons who listen to you.

P.S. I'm thinking about going to the ACORN office here in New Orleans to see about getting a flue shot...watch for me on TV, Glennn.

They aren't gonna ship anyone to a quarantined facility, they'll just impose a 'fine', disguised as a tax, if you don't get a vaccine. Just like the proposed healthcare 'fine' if you don't jump on the mmm mmm mmm Barack Hussein Obama bandwagon. Just like with the healthcare 'fine', which proves Obama isn't interested in universal coverage, he just wants to pick your pocket. If you don't get a mandatory injection, if it comes to that, you'll be 'fined', in other words, punished, for not supporting mmm mmm mmm Barack Hussein Obama.

Say What? The Obama Administration is clandestine? The Obama Administration is secretive in their motives? The Bush Administration couldn't be bothered to go to a private court to ask to wiretap, they just did it and invaded people's privacy. They sent foreign prisoners to Guantanamo so they would not be on U.S. soil, and therefore under U.S. legal jurisidiction, and they lied to the people of the U.S. for years, but the Obama Administration is the one that can't be trusted? I wonder if any of these people ever read "The Masque of the Red Death" by Poe when they were in school? We are due for a pandemic flu, it could be really ugly, as the flu of 1918/19 was, I intend to get a shot to protect myself. Our chances of surviving a nasty flu are higher, because we have anti-biotics to fight infections, and we have equipment to help a person breath who has severe pneumonia, but it could still be ugly. The Spanish Flue sickened 500 million people on every continent, and it killed 50 million people, do we really want to mess around like that again?

To clarify: the antibiotics are for secondary infections (bacterial) NOT for the flu, which is viral... thus there is a 'vaccination'.. only a virus can have a 'vaccination'.

As for breathing equipment... one of the anti-vax targets is Polio, which was the inspiration for the Iron Lung.. (Wiki it if you don't know about them)

Thanks for clarifying my vague point about secondary infections. The Spanish Flu virus killed by causing pneumonia, which may have been bacterial. The last time I was really sick, it started with a virus, and then became pneumonia. I ran a fever for 8 days, that only broke after intervenous anti-biotics at the hospital. I never want to be that sick again, and I certainly don't want to see others that sick, either. If we are able to cut invection and morality rates in half, we are still talking about loosing millions of people around the world to a super flu.

It is also worth noting that so far, this strain of H1N1 has not shown anything approaching the lethality of the 1918 strain. In fact, in most groups, the lethality is well below that of the average seasonal flu strain. I have no intention of receiving a vaccination, as a healthy adult who has never seen the need to be vaccinated against the seasonal flu, until I see evidence that the flu would be more widespread, and deadlier than it has yet shown.

I just saw a Youtube video purporting that children would have to receive a mandatory vaccine within a specific state (can't remember), not being forced by the federal gov. BUT, the only penalty for not taking the vaccine is that those children not vaccinated would have to stay home and couldn't attend school.

This is probably why Beck thinks Obama is doing this. INSANE.

      Swine Flu
I've recently read that Swine Flu first appeared in 1918 and the first known human case occured in 1976, although the H1N1 flu could not be passed from person to person. Regardless, medical personnel panicked and rushed to create a vaccine. Unfortunately in their rush to vaccinate people they created a dangerous virus and ended up killing thousands.

Vaccines have the potential to be quite dangerous if manufactured incorrectly. If I were you, I wouldn't be too hasty about being vaccinated.

In regards to Beck's lunatic rant of quarantines and being put on a bus must be coming from some dark recess of his mind. At least he understands what I would like to do with him - put him on a bus and quarantine him.

BTW, I stood in line for the Swine flu shots in the 70s. No one was forced to be vaccinated, but it was strongly advised.

So, Glenn, you know Hannity was talking just a little while ago about the government giving preferential treatment to poor people, thereby cheating older citizens out of their flu shots. Now, you seem to be arguing that the government is going to force it on you? Tell your boss Murdoch that if he's going to run a successful propaganda network, it really does pay to present a united front.

By the way Glenn, YOU'RE the one who is fomenting mistrust of the government. Funny, it started right around January 20th of this year.

and someone should tell Hannity that the elderly are not at risk from the H1N1 virus, they think it's because it's similar to a strain that most have received in their youth.

The youth are the ones at risk on this one, so any "preferential" treatment is based on risk factors...

Conspiracy theories, unchallenged callers (that one caller's doctor got his medical degree from that college that Beck can't remember the name of), stream of consciousness paranoia...too much here, but a typical day on the Glenn Beck show.

Quarantined? On the bus (supposedly to a concentration camp)? Crazy! If certain workers in certain occupations do not choose to be vaccinated then then just won't be allowed to work, but common sense and the truth will not sway these idiots.

I wonder why that poor crazy sicko does not trust the government? Is it because he listens to Glenn Beck.
