      Wow.

This is quite possibly the craziest thing I think I've ever heard Beck say, and thats saying a lot.

Someone is always listening to him? "They are out to get me"? Paranoid much Glenn?

And you know, if you cant take it anymore Glenn, then quit. Maybe it will save some lives.

If Beck isnt on drugs, he certainly could use some.. like maybe Prozac and some kind of heavy seditive.

          Strait jacket couldnt hurt either.

The accusation of drug use to 'explain' someone's behaviour. I merely expounded and augmented to be more comprehensive, ya know, fair and balanced.

Good. If Glenn stops doing what he does it will make absolutely NO difference to me and it will make NO difference on the political/social landscape either. It's the response from you and mmfa that makes Glenn wealthy, not me, suckers.

That's exactly what I was going to ask. Then I remembered how conservative humor* works; Make up some strange, incoherent scenario about somebody you don't like, then mercilessly satirize your bizarre fantasy by typing a stream of consciousness pile of words that have nothing to do with anything.

                  I was inspired yesterday by your friend Easy to refute wingnuts who fantacised about Savage "donning his wife's appearal and dancing around in front of a mirror". The post was pulled but it's this kind of 'humor' that those at mmfa are free to exploit. What I 'was going on about' is the constant references to Glenn Beck's and Rush Limbaugh's so-called drug use as a way to cut them off at the knees but the complete absence of references to mmm Obama's drug use. Glenn and mmm Obama have more in common than I'll bet your willing to admit. If Glenn's drug use explains his behaviour, according to those at mmfa, I would suggest mmm Obama's drug use is just as relevent. BTW, I want to thank magnolialover for helping me break the mmm habit. I'm down to three m's per entry and am feeling much better. Tonight, I'll be attending an MA meeting. ;>}

Thing is, from all records and recollections, Obama's drug use was over quite some time ago, and again, was pretty recreational, and infrequent.

Whereas, Beck's caused him to lose jobs, and marriages, and to go into rehad, and Limbaugh's caused him to lose his hearing, and get brought into court.

There are slight differences between the 2.

That, and Obama is not acting as if he's on drugs like Limbaugh and Beck are.

That's probably the most important distinction. Obama's about my age, and almost everybody my age tried recreational drugs in their teens and 20s.

The comparison between that and a lifetime addiction is ridiculous in itself, but ultimately irrelevant. As you point out, Beck and Limbaugh show signs of intoxication daily in their behavior and words, while nothing is indicating drug use on Obama's part.

I wonder how many prescriptions puppy has to be currently on to think this was a valid point.

The difference is: A) mmm BHO is the President of the United States and holds a great deal of power over you and everyone else in the world.

                        Well, let's see . . .

One has degrees from Columbia and Harvard, is a former constitutional law professor and US Senator, and current US President.

One flunked every course he ever took in college {"even ballroom dancing," according to his mother}, likes to diddle prepubescent Dominican boys, and is an oxycontin addict.

The other is a dry-drunk who frequently misspells words on TV program, simulates boiling frogs and pouring gas on someone, calls the POTUS a "racist", and whines about how "they're out to get him."

In the future, if other posters ask wtf you're going on about, don't interpret that as a request for you to explain yourself.

Imagine it more accurately as you on the other side of the safety glass, in the nice soft room, with that fancy jacket keeping your arms restrained, and the rest of us wondering among ourselves "wtf is he/she going on about?"

And what happened "to" Sarah Palin?

I think the common thread here is what he claims happened "to" Sarah Palin. Like her, he's prophesizing that his own words will take him down, and "they" are complicit in the assault by not saving him from himself.

I hope psychology pre-grads are watching this intently.

Yes, siding with fact rather than opinion purchased by the Almighty Dollar is nuts. Excellent point, puppienrainbows. If we could only, as a country, figure out some way to sell our souls and our honor for cash, we could probably turn this country's economy around overnight. Of course, it would no longer be a place worth living in, but as long as we're all rich, who cares?

Me personally? I'm here to have fun. I'd rather be poor and honest than wealthy and... well, Glenn Beck. Or a liar. But I repeat myself.

Why...I mean it, really...Why are you people so dense? That's not rhetorical, I really want to know. It seems the most basic logic eludes you. Are you just playing dumb to further your arguments? Are you playing devil's advocate? Did you get too much lead in your diet as a child? I can understand most psychological "twitches", but this blatant dishonesty even in the face of what you HAVE to recognize as intellectually capable opponents makes no sense to me at all. In other words, you're either dumb enough to think that nobody will see it, or you're dumb enough to actually believe what you're saying. I just want to know, for my own education, which.

I can repeat what The_Cat said but if you didn't get it the first time, the second time would confuse you even more. I think you spend too much time on the strip, neon. The high voltage used to 'fire' the rarified gases in the 'neon' tubes has caused a serious 'glitch' in your onboard diagnostic system. The tubes at 'Little Darlings' are especially debilitating.

Jesus IS a liberal. He was a progressive rebel. He preached against the teachings of the conservatives of His time. The only instance of His anger shown in the New Testament is when he overturned the tables of the moneychangers in the Temple.

The so-called "religious right" has twisted the teachings of Christ to fit their own warped agenda. They would turn Christ away if came to their doors.

That is quite possibly true. I've noticed many mornings coming home from "Little Darlings" that I do feel dumber, and have no recollection of where all my cash went.

That aside, I don't get the impression (and I'm not alone) that you didn't comprehend enough of what The_Cat stated to point anything out. I don't want to take the time to do this, but I think you're worth it...

You made the assertion that Glennn Bek was not insane, but merely stating his opinion for lots of money, whereas MMfA doesn't make that much money, implying, or at least posing the question, of whether the insane party might not just be those who offer their opinion for less than what Bek makes. The_Cat replied to your assertion, using sarcasm, that Bek's opinion is formed according to those from whom he receives his riches, riches that seem to exceed what are received by those who's opinion is formed by truth and facts. He then went on to state that given the false dichotomy of lies and riches vs. poverty and truth, he would take the latter. At which point you claim he equated lies with money, and then you went on to say that The_Cat held the opinion that everyone who is rich is a liar.

Does that pretty much sum it up? I hate to waste all this typing on a hopeless case, so if I lost you somewhere along the way, please tell me so that I can go back and better explain it. But if you've managed to make it this far... Thus my question above.

No, I did not provide a dichotomy for all of civilization, puppienrainbows. I said that for myself, I would choose honesty even if it meant poverty, rather than give up my principles for monetary gain.

It is not liberals who prefer to have no middle ground. It is not liberals who have an 'us and them' mentality. You need to look to the conservatives for that, puppienrainbows.

Are there dishonest poor people? Obviously yes there are. Are there honest wealhty people? Obviously yes there are. All human beings suffer from the same problem as far as I can see: human nature.

Did I say that I believe Glenn Beck is willing to sell his personal integrity for monetary gain? Why, yes I did. Because I believe it is a provable fact. He lies on his show every day. He gets paid to be on his show. Therefore, he gets paid to lie. Would he still have a show if he clung desparately to the truth, regardless of ratings? The world may never know.

What you've revealed about yourself, puppienrainbows, is that you need a remedial course in reading comprehension.

I probably shouldn't ask these obvious questions of insane people (see puppy's "explanation" of his "joke" on this thread) but curiosity gets the best of me sometimes.

You have to wonder about the logic.

A person who has never heard of Glenn Beck is browsing the internet.

He stumbles on an MMFA item showing that Beck is a paranoid imbecile who gets most of his facts wrong, projects his racism and anger onto other people, and cries like a little girl about his hallucinations on a pretty regular basis.

This person decides "I will watch Beck's tv show, patronize his sponsors, and answer telephone surveys asking me if I am a fan."

Wouldn't a person likely to take these actions already be a Beck fan?

Only when YOU ignore him and when his advertisers completely dry up will he disappear. Based upon this particular piece, I'm thinking that Fox has probably given him some bad news, just like they did on CNN. The man's schtick is dangerous because people like you watch him and believe his lies. Beck and YOU are the problem, not Beck's critiques.

Listening to him speak makes me laugh and I can't help but think that the things Beck seems to be accusing others of doing to him are actually all the challenges that President Obama is facing now. Except that President Obama isn't going on TV all the time to complain about it.

"You get out of line we'll destroy you"
It seems to me the right-wing believes Obama is out of line and you are trying to destroy him.

"...the thought of someone always constantly out to get ya, constantly, do you have any idea what it's like? ... somebody will take anything that I say take it and twist it out of context ..." [...] "That's crazy"
You said it Beck "That's crazy".

Go figure. Glenn doesn't like the bed he helped to create. I have no sympathy for him, none whatsoever.

Instead of spending his time discovering and discussing the facts of the issues at hand, he spouted and drummed up fantasies and lies to distract and infuriate his listeners so that they would act rather than think, shout rather than debate. And if he's criticized for that, he wraps himself in a flag, raises his eyes to the spotlights, and cries "Foul!".

People who lie deserve to be called out for it. People who attempt to spread hate rather than critical thinking deserve to be abandoned.

You had such an opportunity to lead your people and you blew it by reveling in what they love to hear (scandal) rather than telling what they need to know.

Save your crocodile tears for your creditors and the unemployment office.
