You should be able to indenify where it's coming from. I like her but why can't people tell it like it is?

" Should be about America, not ideology ". The lion is awakening realising the wind blowing is a storm coming. I feel so poetic today. How did Mr Graysom slip by the GOP Destruction Machine ? That man has the guts required to be a congressman and more. It is going to take a lot of courage and sacrifice ( one term in office ? ) to do the right thing for this nation's governace and hand constitutionallaw to our descendants in the same form it was handed to us throughout history. One term in office may be the only time we have.

That would be great if there was a politician willing to do that, but I doubt it.

I want to be that politician. I want just one term to do what no one else has the balls to do! Unfortunately, I am neither rich nor a lawyer. So, my chances are caput!

      "Sort of"?
I would say our national discourse is now little more than thuggery. Fearmongering, finger pointing, retaliation, unfounded accusations, outright lies....

I think Aaron Sorkin wrote it the best in The American President...some of this in in context of the movie, but I believe the message accurately describes today's discourse.

"He [Republicans] is interested in two
things and two things only: Making
you afraid of it and telling you
who's to blame for it. That, ladies
and gentlemen, is how you win
elections. You gather a group of
      middle-aged, middle-class, middle-
      income voters who remember with
longing an easier time, and you talk
to them about family and American
      values and personal character. Then
you have an old photo of the
      President's girlfriend. You scream
about patriotism and you tell them
she's to blame for their lot in life,
you go on television and you call her
      a whore."
