Kevin Jennings, President Obama's Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Office of Safe and Drug FreeSchools at the U.S. Department of Education, is in hot water this week for having failed to report that a 15-year-old sophomore student in his school had told him of having sex with an older man.
But failure to report what appeared to be a case of statuatory rape of a child may be the least of Jennings' worries. Lori Roman of Regular Folks United points to statements by Jennings a decade or more ago when he praised Harry Hay of the North American Association for Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), which promotes the legalization of sexual abuse of young boys by older men.
Roman provides damning details and links here. She also notes that Jennings wrote the forward "to a book called Queering Elementary Education. And another fellow you may have heard of wrote one of the endorsements on the book jacket—Bill Ayers." Ayers, of course, is the Weather Underground bomber from the 1960s who is just an "acquaintance" of Obama.
Every presidential administration ends up with scandals inspired by controversial appointees, but typically those tend to revolve around financial improprieties, conflicts of interest, or some other form of white-collar misconduct. For Obama, the scandals seem to be develping in a pattern of disclosures revolving around radical left ideology that raises questions about their fitness for any job in government.
And that in turn raises the inevitable question: Is nobody minding the White House personnel store?
I bet you did not even follow my links to prove Obamma said he would bankrupt coal companies or skyrocketing electric rates.
Does NAMBLA also have a place in you heart has a tax exempt entity? I guess they should be included in your hate crime statistics.
You people vilified Cheney for being the past CEO of Halliberton, but a guy who praises one of NAMBLA's members is OK in your book?!?!? That is beyond sick and twisted.
Personally, I could care less about NAMBLA and wish for them to be relegated to the dustbins of history. But hate crime statistics?
P.S. an opinion from some schmuck at a free rag that has had more controversies than a republican at a whorehouse hardly counts as journalism. It's like reading one of those rags you buy in the grocery store - "hillary gives birth to live alien! story page 9."
If your resource is links, provide links to the exact quote, not what you are some other idiot thinks he said.
Prove it or go somewhere else.
The fact that you intentionally type Obamma (whatever it means in your mind) says a lot about you.
How is 'Obamma' related to the rest of your post?
I think it is you that is sick.

Please watch and tell me what you think.
Wow, sounds like he's pushing for bankrupting with that statement. So he had the guts to stand up to dirty coal interests by saying if coal can be used cleanly we should use it? That's your proof? I didn't call you a liar yet, but if the shoe fits...
"The caps that are imposed every year, if someone wants to build a coal powered plant they can its just that it will bankrupt them because they will be charged a huge sum for all that green house gas that is being emitted"
Tell me about that and before you start global warming is a con Al gore is flying around in his GS 12 telling us to conserve - what a joke
Again the government is over-regulating things in order to force a way of thinking. If we make energy more expensive then people will have to conserve.
Maybe they should stick to protecting the citizens of this country. Instead they want to "control" how we do things.
Try reading legitimate sources . . . until you do, nobody will take you seriously.
I think he should forget about the Olympics, return to the US and deal with the over 10 percent unemployment oh wait with the stimulus bill it wasn't suppose to go above 8 percent?!!??!?
He still has a major problem with financial sector to handle and lets not forget about the war he was to end, you know part the seas and the 2 sides who have been fighting for hundreds of years will just stop.
He has taken a long time to decide on more troops but can ram through a ill conceived health care bill in less the 2 weeks??
By all means send the troops right away without thorough analysis and in what alternate universe has he rammed thruough a health care bill in two weeks? Sheesh.
Forget the troops just DROP THE BOMB and get it over with already. We lost our balls in Vietnam I think it is time we stopped playing games and do it.
The Japanese sure learned quick that they better give up.
This country has feminized damn near every one, it is time that stopped and taught our boys to be men, to protect themselves and their loved ones. Tell them it OK to stick up for your selves and fight if you must. Not to just start fights but defend yourself and don't let any one take that from you
You are aware that Obama has not had any part in the drafting of the legislation at this point, right? Obama, as President, cannot make law. He can suggest policy, but he cannot make law. Your anger toward him is misdirected [intentionally, by Fox.]
What Obama wanted was for the CONGRESS to get him a bill before the August recess. He, I'm sure, had gotten information regarding the corporately planned and executed "town hall protests," and anticipated the BS that would be spewed forth on Fox.
I might also add that the polls indicate that idiots like you are in the minority. Most Americans WANT a public option and most Americans understand the absolute necessity for reform. But then, MOST Americans don't have their eyes glued to Fox 24/7.
Ruggers, you are are aware that Mr. Obama had not yet received the report which asked for more troops at the time it was leaked, right? He hasn't taken "a long time to decide."
Turn off Fox . . . they are lying to you.
I believe there are two things at work here. One, I feel they are on a power high because even in the minority the conservatives have been able to control so much. Why not try to get another person fired. Two, they are homophobic. Jennings, unfortunately, is an easy next target.
(about their smoke-screen complaint, I can just see how much further assaulted that 16 year old boy would have been by the public if Jennings did report it. It was the 80s...today isn't perfect but it was pretty bad back then. AIDS was relatively new and we all know which portion of society was the scapegoat.)
On the flip side:
I am happy that Obama has so much diversity in his administration!
Where is the accountability?
Where is the responsibility?
Where is the integrity?
Sigh....
Just an observation...
