So, the right can go back 21 years to dig up something in a person's past they don't like? And yet when anyone on the left dares mention the last 8 years under Bush they cry that it's not fair to look back.
      What a bunch of phonies.

That's just the latest in a long list of hypocricies they engage in daily. But I'm curious - that's twice now that I've seen major attacks of the reich actually denounced and disproven on other networks. Did someone get a memo or something? Someone besides that laughable fox memo on being fair and balanced?

          Obama appointee lauded NAMBLA figure
          By: Mark Tapscott
          Editorial Page Editor
          10/01/09 12:40 PM EDT

Kevin Jennings, President Obama's Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Office of Safe and Drug FreeSchools at the U.S. Department of Education, is in hot water this week for having failed to report that a 15-year-old sophomore student in his school had told him of having sex with an older man.

But failure to report what appeared to be a case of statuatory rape of a child may be the least of Jennings' worries. Lori Roman of Regular Folks United points to statements by Jennings a decade or more ago when he praised Harry Hay of the North American Association for Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), which promotes the legalization of sexual abuse of young boys by older men.

Roman provides damning details and links here. She also notes that Jennings wrote the forward "to a book called Queering Elementary Education. And another fellow you may have heard of wrote one of the endorsements on the book jacket—Bill Ayers." Ayers, of course, is the Weather Underground bomber from the 1960s who is just an "acquaintance" of Obama.

Every presidential administration ends up with scandals inspired by controversial appointees, but typically those tend to revolve around financial improprieties, conflicts of interest, or some other form of white-collar misconduct. For Obama, the scandals seem to be develping in a pattern of disclosures revolving around radical left ideology that raises questions about their fitness for any job in government.

And that in turn raises the inevitable question: Is nobody minding the White House personnel store?

As the report above says, documents show the kid was 16 which is legal age in Maine. Too bad for you, but your pithy letter was factless before you ever posted it!

The report says 15 YEARS OLD how do you get 16?? You probably think Roman Polanski should be set free you my friend are morally bankrupt.

I bet you did not even follow my links to prove Obamma said he would bankrupt coal companies or skyrocketing electric rates.

Does NAMBLA also have a place in you heart has a tax exempt entity? I guess they should be included in your hate crime statistics.

You people vilified Cheney for being the past CEO of Halliberton, but a guy who praises one of NAMBLA's members is OK in your book?!?!? That is beyond sick and twisted.

The report said 16. The kid was of legal age in maine.

Personally, I could care less about NAMBLA and wish for them to be relegated to the dustbins of history. But hate crime statistics?

P.S. an opinion from some schmuck at a free rag that has had more controversies than a republican at a whorehouse hardly counts as journalism. It's like reading one of those rags you buy in the grocery store - "hillary gives birth to live alien! story page 9."

If your resource is links, provide links to the exact quote, not what you are some other idiot thinks he said.
Prove it or go somewhere else.
The fact that you intentionally type Obamma (whatever it means in your mind) says a lot about you.
How is 'Obamma' related to the rest of your post?

"this option of no coal I think is an illusion."

Wow, sounds like he's pushing for bankrupting with that statement. So he had the guts to stand up to dirty coal interests by saying if coal can be used cleanly we should use it? That's your proof? I didn't call you a liar yet, but if the shoe fits...

Watch the whole thing and listen at 2:13 he says QUOTE
"The caps that are imposed every year, if someone wants to build a coal powered plant they can its just that it will bankrupt them because they will be charged a huge sum for all that green house gas that is being emitted"

Tell me about that and before you start global warming is a con Al gore is flying around in his GS 12 telling us to conserve - what a joke

Through "cap and trade" he said which is the bill he wants to get through. With "cap and trade" all the regulations forced on utility companies will be passed on to the comsumer. Then rates "will skyrocket"!

Again the government is over-regulating things in order to force a way of thinking. If we make energy more expensive then people will have to conserve.

Maybe they should stick to protecting the citizens of this country. Instead they want to "control" how we do things.

You are aware that this guy writes for The Washington Examiner which is a free daily tabloid which is distributed primarily to the affluent white neighborhoods of Washington, DC, right? You also know that this "newspaper" is owned by Philip Anschutz, a known homophobe, right.

No this is NOW Obamma's administration and term quit blaming Bush. If everything Bush did was so wring then change it, Gitmo is still open, he is losing big on the health care that he wants.

I think he should forget about the Olympics, return to the US and deal with the over 10 percent unemployment oh wait with the stimulus bill it wasn't suppose to go above 8 percent?!!??!?

He still has a major problem with financial sector to handle and lets not forget about the war he was to end, you know part the seas and the 2 sides who have been fighting for hundreds of years will just stop.

He has taken a long time to decide on more troops but can ram through a ill conceived health care bill in less the 2 weeks??

When did obama send more troops to afghanistan again? Oh, months ago, contrary to your poutrage! I just love watching you work yourself up into an uncontrollable lather as you spit out half truths to downright lies daily, it's really entertaining watching a perfect example of reichwing thinking in action. He sure tried to ram that bill in before the August recess or have you conveniently forgotten because your ilk are losing the battle and now the war for the bill.

Forget the troops just DROP THE BOMB and get it over with already. We lost our balls in Vietnam I think it is time we stopped playing games and do it.

The Japanese sure learned quick that they better give up.
This country has feminized damn near every one, it is time that stopped and taught our boys to be men, to protect themselves and their loved ones. Tell them it OK to stick up for your selves and fight if you must. Not to just start fights but defend yourself and don't let any one take that from you

The effectiveness of dropping bombs depends on the nature of the war, though. The government of Japan was intimidated into pulling out of the war. Are we expecting Karzai to react in a specific way to such a bombing? Otherwise, I'm not sure what it's supposed to accomplish.

You know, Rugger, I think your problem is simply lack of comprehension.

You are aware that Obama has not had any part in the drafting of the legislation at this point, right? Obama, as President, cannot make law. He can suggest policy, but he cannot make law. Your anger toward him is misdirected [intentionally, by Fox.]

What Obama wanted was for the CONGRESS to get him a bill before the August recess. He, I'm sure, had gotten information regarding the corporately planned and executed "town hall protests," and anticipated the BS that would be spewed forth on Fox.

I might also add that the polls indicate that idiots like you are in the minority. Most Americans WANT a public option and most Americans understand the absolute necessity for reform. But then, MOST Americans don't have their eyes glued to Fox 24/7.

This would still be Bush's mess if McCain had won. Bush, as is his history, made a GINORMOUS mess. He was never qualified nor competent to be president. His past history in business was more than adequate proof that he should NEVER have held any elected office.

Ruggers, you are are aware that Mr. Obama had not yet received the report which asked for more troops at the time it was leaked, right? He hasn't taken "a long time to decide."

Turn off Fox . . . they are lying to you.

I hope the Administration's support for Jennings stays strong. They need to stand by him and ignore Fox.

I believe there are two things at work here. One, I feel they are on a power high because even in the minority the conservatives have been able to control so much. Why not try to get another person fired. Two, they are homophobic. Jennings, unfortunately, is an easy next target.

(about their smoke-screen complaint, I can just see how much further assaulted that 16 year old boy would have been by the public if Jennings did report it. It was the 80s...today isn't perfect but it was pretty bad back then. AIDS was relatively new and we all know which portion of society was the scapegoat.)

      On the flip side:

I am happy that Obama has so much diversity in his administration!

The should make them the news and report on them and the lies they have told. hey should never parrot what Fox is talking about and need to research the story. If they always come out factually correct Fox will start dying. Opinions are for the bar news is for facts.
