      From my experience with these groups as an attorney, Lou Dobbs is not far off.

      Considering most of the Hispanic-Americans I know refer to those who cross illegally as 'wetbacks', there must be an awfully small membership in these 'activist organizations'.

        It's true! Most of the latino's and hispanic's I know are just happy to be American's. They don't think of themselves as some "sub-group" to the United States, requiring membership in La Raza, MALDEF, or LULAC. These groups are for the illegals or the people that don't want to learn English, pay taxes or for the people that want to suck government benefits like welfare, free education, food stamps, medical, etc.
