      Shananagins! There I called it.

Is there any recourse here? Or do we just watch the theater?

And they still call it grassroots?

      Mr. Beck,

You seem to have forgottent that it was YOU who created "The 9/12 Project", that it was YOU who urged people to march on DC on 9/12, that it was and continues to be YOU who give these people their slogans and talking points.

You say that they, the teabaggers, don't have the SEIU to give them their message. Correct, they do not. They instead have YOU.

There is nothing grassroots about Fox News' crusade against the Obama administration.

It doesn't matter what signs they carry now. They've already shown where they stand and who they stand with.

Thank God Fox News is keeping us infromed.

      God bless Amercia

Ugh. The dishonesty that pours from Beck/Luntz is just mind-blowing.

      1) "The Tea Partiers don't have focus groups like SEIU and Acorn..." No, they just have a powerful television network cheerleading them, helping to organize them, and refining their message.

      2) What, no addressing the Obama = Hitler signs that show up at these events, many of which seemed to be directly aping Beck's Obama = Hitler formulations?

      3) "72% of Americans define themselves as angry as hell..." Yeah, I'm one of them. Much of my anger is directed at pseudo-populist demagogues like Luntz and Beck. Your polling numbers don't necessarily mean what you think they do, guys.

      4) Using Katrina do go after government generically (and, let's be honest, their real target is Obama and the Democrats) is sheer sophistry. Katrina was botched by a Republican president who headed a party that holds as sacred that the government can do no good, but who nonetheless want to control said government.

      5) "Not about Obama..." "Tea Parties are non-partisan..." Luntz is a paid GOP political operative. His pretensions of non-partisanship make him an outright liar.

        1. True they do NOT conduct focus groups. Yes FOX is a cheerleader, BUT they do not get those neat red ACORN shirts, $15.00, a box lunch, a round trip bus ride to the disturbance of the week, or those cool mass produced signs.
        2. It's just a bit of the hair of the dog that bit ya. You think the equivalent or maybe worse was not conceived and executed against Bush? I am not a fan of Bush by a long shot.
3.The poll questions were very specific. They are angry about the economy, spending, taxes, and lack of accountability. You can be angry at whatever you want.
        4. The repub pres. was made a scapegoat AFTER the mayor of New Orleans amplified the disaster by displyaing utter incompetence in properly managing the affairs of his city. He had no emergency plans in place to execute. Nothing. Nagin bears full responsibility for the disastrous first few days, when most people died. The 15 year old kid that broke into and stole a school bus and rescued many people, WAS ARRESTED!
        5. It is not about Obama. Or democrats and republicans, left, right, or upside down. It IS about the corruption of our so called representatives, and their arrogance.

Really? There were teabag parties conceived and organized by FOX against Bush?

I sure don't remember any. In fact, any criticism of Bush was usually referred to as "treason" . . .

Right -- the FEMA head proclaiming himself a "fashion god" and Bush playing air guitar in LA don't bear ANY responsibility whatsoever . . .

Hmm, the liberals have ACORN and SEIU who form focus groups to decide what to put on their posters, and that is bad, but now Fox is trying to tell the Teabaggers what to put on their signs because their just real grassroots folks who know what Americans really want. And Glenn doesn't see the irony, gotta love it.

Hmmm, these were all signs that were seen at tea parties. Sigh, now I have to watch the Beck re-run to see what he really said.

Republicans want to know "why?" Republicans don't understand the spending? But they object over and over again, even though they don't understand? Where's the shortcoming here? In the people who don't understand, not in the Democrats' policies!!! And it's pretty darn hypocritical to suggest that it's our fault and Democratic leadership's fault that dumb Republicans don't understand.

And yeah, Republicans have a right to be heard. But so far, what they've said to us, that we've heard, is nonsense. They complain about spending, but it was Bush that was the spendthrift! They've complained about us rushing healthcare reform, but it hasn't been rushed at all - this has taken months for this Congress and decades to be addressed. It's not rushed in any way, shape or form!

The #1 thing that people want is for the US Fed Govt to stop wasting taxpayers' money? Well, guess what? Bush is the one who wasted the money. Obama hasn't demonstrated that he's wasting any money yet - the stimulus was necessary spending. Bush - not so much. Bush had lots of voluntary spending, like the Iraq War's expected $2 Trillion plus eventual pricetag! Yeah, $2 Trillion. And guess what - Obama wants to stop wasting taxpayer money too, and he's actually put his money where his mouth is so far!

And trying to say that the feds can't manage Healthcare? They sure can. Medicaid and Medicare are very well run. The reason they're running out of money? The same reason your private health insurance company would be broke right now if they hadn't been able to raise your premiums year after year after year. Yeah, that's right, private insurance would be in an even bigger hole than what the Fed's are right now, so it's a strawman argument.

      Fail, fail, and more fail.
