Another entry in the "Heads I win, Tails you lose" department.

Obama has not "gone around the world criticizing the US"- that's just a stupid reichwing talking point endlessly bleated by Hannity and his mindless ilk.

If Obama HAD been "criticizing the US," I thought that would have been popular among nations that "hate us" (another Hannity straw man,) and made it MORE likely we'd get the Olympics.

Finally- are revolting hypocrites like Hannity actually going to spend this week bemoaning the fact that the US didn't get the Olympics, after spending Friday crowing over it? Gotta give them points for audacity, I guess.

Sean, you forgot to mention Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers.

BTW, Sean, you should get down on your knees every hour and thank God for making stupid people because without stupid people listening you would not have a show.

No Hannity ..if he hadn't shown a new US attitude to the world..Chicago wouldn't have even been one of the 4 finalists!!!Chances are that George Bush would have been booed if he showed up almost anywhere in the world..oh yeah that already happened didn't it?

Mr. Hannity, have you been taking editing tips from the Pimp & Ho Show? That hacked together sound bite came from, what, at least four different speeches, likely on three different topics? All out of context, all driven by personal dislike rather than any kind of journalistic impetus.

Maybe if President Bush hadn't spent eight years trying to destroy what made America a great nation the Olympic committee would've had a different opinion. That didn't even occur to you, though, right? You were just fundamentally incapable of making that leap?

"[E]arly this morning a 14-year-old boy was chased down a Chicago street and beaten with a pipe. ... This event occurs on the heels of the murder of Derrion Albert, the 16-year-old honor student who was beaten to death in a gang fight, and at the same time the president is lobbying to bring the Olympics to Chicago, which begs the question: Is this a city where we want the Olympics taking place?"
Uh-oh, Hannity. Looks like YOU were trashing America. Hey, maybe it's YOUR fault!

he knows what he is doing, he knows his audience, there is some guy sitting in a bar someplace looking up at the screen saying "Jeeeez this guy is really good!!"

The same violence happens in Rio, even around Ipanema, they are going to have a real chore cleaning that turkey up.

Obama: No one nation should try to dominate another nation.

Hannity: If only Obama had instead shocked-and-awed Denmark, Chicago would have gotten the Olympics.

Never, but Hannity presented truncated/spliced videos which gave the appearance that he did. Just like he always does.

Truth hurts, huh, thumbs down person? Hannity has been caught time after time playing truncated/spliced videos which give the appearance of Obama and others saying one thing when actually they said just the opposite. It's common knowledge. Hannity has never denied it.

Sean has no problems throwing rocks in his glass houses..and houses...and houses. He blasts Chicago as being a lawless city where kids are being killed going to school on a regular basis. He's making it sound like that future Detroit in Robocop. He paints single occurrences as everyday activity to make it seem like its not safe to live there. He then turns around and says that Obama is trashing America. What a joke.

If President Obama did everything these right-wing loons wanted him to do, he would have to lock himself in a cage and throw the keys to them. No matter what he says and does, he will always be criticized.

If he didn't go to the Olympics bid, he would of been criticized for now showing up when all other heads of state showed up and yet if he did show up, they still criticize him. It's pathetic. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

If Chicago did win the Olympics, it would have been a win for the conservatives, because it would "prove" that all the graft was there...

There is no winning against right-wing conservative logic...

And if Dubya hadn't acted like an arrogant [fill in your own word] for eight years, making enemies of most of the world, maybe that might have been useful too, eh Sean?

Actually, I suspect that Rio was just too appealing this time, particularly with a "never in South America" factor.

      Seannie, Seannie, Seannie . . .

When are you gonna realize -- Obama didn't fly around the world criticizing the US . . . he flew around the world criticizing his PREDECESSOR.

I forget, though; you considered Bush and America to be the same entity . . .

Nazis murdered 12 million Europeans (6 million Jews). Why would Europeans vote for Chicago to be an Olympic host city when Hannity and the rest of the Reichwingnuts keep calling Europeans Nazis for having universal health care?

All these right wing twits have no clue how the IOC works if they seriously believe Obama played any role in Chicago losing the bid.

But I guess having a rational discussion about the issue isn't as captivating as utter stupidity.

I think Hannity got the wrong president, President Lula da Silva of Brazil has accused the United States of "cowboy capitalism," which by now the rest of the world agrees with but only says it politely.

Lula da Silva had campaigned for at least the last three years to bring the Olympics to Brazil

By the way Rio's murder rate is about the same as Chicago's, does that mean this might be a new Olympic event, in which case the finals might be between Cape Town and Baltimore.
