      Are we sure the the 1st amendment protets this kind of speech?
      Perhaps it's time to test this. Limbaugh has obvious animosity and open malice toward Mr. Jennings. He is spouting proven lies re: what transpired between Mr. Jennings and his student, Brewster. He is then using his lies to smear Mr. Jennings reputation via radio and TV. He has even stated that his intent is to harm Mr. Jennings financially by getting him to resign or be fired. I know Jennings is likely a public figure and financial loss as well as malice must be proveb, but maybe it is time to revisit the actual damages requirement for slander of a public figure when actual intent is evident.

        It is. He's accusing Jennings of sexual misconduct with no facts. That falls under the category of defamation per se.

      Who are the "perverts"? (plural)

      Is Kevin Jennings one? Because he's gay?

        That's what I'm trying to figure out. He has no evidence Jennings is a child abuser and I have no idea why he thinks Jennings is a pervert.

      He can be sued and he should be sued. This has nothing to do with First Amendment rights . . . he is broadcasting slanderous and defamatory speech.

        Let's hope Jennings presses charges. Of course, the reichwingers will yell, but they yell anyway, so we should certainly not stop for their sake.

      Obama didn't put Mark Foley in power -- the voters in Florida did.

      And the most prominent "pervert" I can think of is you -- and any "power" you think you have comes from your brain-dead listeners, not Obama . . .

      He is happy that the Fairness Doctrine is not in place, because he would be GONE! I would not be surprised if he did get slapped with a suit that will make him lose weight from sweating too much in worry.

      I'm mad as hell at Rush Limbaugh for the comments he made about Jennings on his show calling him a pervert and other names. When will the Republican party stand up against this guy and say he is not what the Republican party represents in todays society? He is full of hate and hatred politics. He also made a negative reference about the NAACP in the same sentence. I'm a African American man who is proud to be a Democrat, but you do have some African Americans out there who are conserative and independants. And I wouldnt dare say anything negative about them. Who have the guts to say that Rush Limbaugh do not run the Republicans? Nobody, thats who, when someone say anything against him, they take the heat and come back and say they didnt mean it that way. I'm not gay but I'm a American that believes that you judge a person by the content of their charcter not the color of their skin or their sexual preference. I'm asking any conserative out there to speak up and don't let Rush Limbaught define your party.
