Despicable Yellow Journalism? THAT IS RICH! I don't even know how this guy faces his kids, frankly. Help, what, Glen? Spread lies and hatred toward America and witch hunt and cheer when AMERICA has a set back? Re-FOUND America? We never lost it. YOU HAVE LOST IT. Quit spreading bile, then maybe your kids can look up in the future.

Glenn, you can't run away from who and what you really are...a nutty, but very lucky, A-Hole who's making an obscene amount of money duping a bunch of stupid, weak-minded people. Enjoy your money, Glenn...and quit your crying.

      Mr. Beck,

The actual journalist have spent time proving you wrong. So have other private citizens, dads, concerned Americans, et al. But rather than accept that they've proven you wrong, your response has been to label them as socialist/facist/communist supporters... enemies of America... part of the problem. You don't accept criticism for all the times you've been wrong, you attack it. And then you defend those attacks with more of your factless rhetoric and even start crusades against those who have sought to and succeeded in proving you wrong.

You want journalists to go after the real stories? Fine, then accept that not everything which you believe is a real story actual is. Why is no one else covering [insert chosen crusade here]?

It could very well be because that's not an actual story.

I have been and remain completely against bringing the circumstances of his mother's death into the effort to expose Beck for what he is.

But aside from this, Beck's self martyrdom is as hollow and pathetic as any I've ever seen. Like other wealthy media heads, he doesn't identify with or give a ***t about the people who watch his show. He only cares that they do watch and the fat paychecks keep rolling in.

That's true...he's the one who says she committed suicide, although the authorities said otherwise. The guy is a nut job...trying to make himself the victim, as Pete says.

pete592 said: "I have been and remain completely against bringing the circumstances of his mother's death into the effort to expose Beck for what he is."

Couldn't agree more. But of course the fool drags all his past personal and family history into his hysterical melodrama.

A notable example is when he pulled out some old Nazi propaganda which questioned the value of health care to the handicapped, at which point he devolved into a crying blubbering buffoon complete with quivering chin (which I thought my wife did that down to a fine art but I have to admit glen dreck has it down to an even finer art) and proceeded to bring his CP daughter into the topic as an example, accompanied by more tears and hysterical nonsense.

The guy has NO SHAME whatsoever, either in the obvious racist undertones he uses or to use his own family as fodder for his rants.

Surely the time can't be too far away that this guy implodes and the spotlight will swing away from him to the next rodeo clown...

Actually, I have to admit that as working muso I often come up with slightly silly names for my rock trio and have them up on local venues . This week's has been, you guessed it, "**** & The Rodeo Clowns"!! LOL! I get a chuckle every time I drive by the venues on the way to dropping the kids off to school or to do the shopping...;p)

Have you seen the video of Beck participating in a photo shoot? The makeup girl comes and rubs Vicks under his eyes . . . Beck states, "I think I'm getting too used to this." The tears flow and Beck mugs for the camera with his best boo hoo faces. The man is a joke.

pete, I respect your honorable intentions, but it is BECK who has brought his false stories regarding his mother into his schtick to make himself a more sympathetic figure. He used to use her "suicide" when he was 13 in his radio program ALL THE TIME. Producing facts which show that his mother died as the result of an accidental drowning when he was 15 is not being disrespectful. BECK is the one who is guilty of being disrespectful of his mother's memory by making up stories about her death to make himself a more sympathetic figure.

      1) Pick someone who has bulit up a public image for themselves
      2) Dig into their past and find past statements they have made or actions that they have done that are unusual.
      3) Bring those statements/actions to light to discredit that persons public persona and crediblity
      4) while discrediting that person draw weak connections suggesting that person is more infulental then they really are
      5) use weak links to as justification for more digging into past to further discrediting.
      6) repeat 4 and 5 as much as needed to discredit person.

Beck seems to be complaining that those 6 things are being done to him, thing is though I cant tell any difference between what Beck claims the Media is doing to him and what someone who will remain nameless *cough* Glenn Beck *cough* did to say: Van Jones, Deepak Bhargava, Rahm Emanual, Barack Obama, ect.

So this seems to me to be an example of "you can dish it out but you cant take it"

Sorry Glenn but in your case the sympathy meter is on empty.

What? Spend time disproving your claims instead of talking about your past?

Seems like we do that every day around here, you just don't agree with the analysis and never make a correction. And CNN has occasionally picked some of your lies up, and Keith and Rachel are always on it over at MSNBC.

When people are public figures as influential as you are, Glenn, the public looks at their pasts. That's what being a public figure means. I don't condone baseless speculation about anyone's death, but we're going to look at your past. You do it with malice to innocent administration officials every day, you giant hypocrite. If you can't handle the scrutiny, get out of the spotlight. It's that simple.

The whole Texas independance from Mexico thing was about the "right" to own slaves. Slavery was illegal in Mexico. So, come to your own conclusions about that as an appropriate image for "phoney news."

First, he is not "just a private citizen." He is unequivocally a *public figure*. Second, I don't care if he's "just a dad." How many people whose lives he is trying to destroy are a dad or a mom? As for his comments about his mother's death, it was not an unequivocal suicide, and perhaps if he really wants it to be a private matter, he should not use it to try to score points for himself.

As for Fox being "The Alamo," if this guy has any sense of history, I guess he doesn't expect it to end well for Fox.

I'm just a mom doing this for my kids, and unlike you, Mr. Beck, for whom family is supposed to be sacred, I only have one family. You don't tell the truth, you lie, and if you would lie about your mother. what else would you lie about? You invent stories and scream that no one is covering them but you, well, maybe you shouldn't be creating distractions. Because, really, that IS what you are doing. You are distracting your viewers from the real crimes being carried out by the corporations who hold your leash. And if you aren't a journalist, and you don't have to check facts, then you shouldn't be claiming that your lies and distortions are real. And if you are goint to hold people accountable for their words and actions 15-30 years ago, then Mr. Beck, it takes a lot of chutzpah to order other people off of your back. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, and maybe your goose deserves to be cooked. And when you demand that the media stop the "dispicable yellow journalism, maybe you should stop first, and buddy, you aren't a private citizen, you are a public figure with a bully pulpit, so stuff the moral indignation and quit being disingenuous.

Is this a reverse psychology thing? I mean if you're elevated enough to be in the media's sight in the first place, then telling them to ignore you isn't what they do. It's like telling someone not to look down from a high place ... they always look down. So, in short, all I hear is "everyone, look at me".

Once more, Glum Bleek proves he doesn't know American history.

One of the essential issues behind the fight by Texas for independence from Mexico was slavery. Slavery was illegal in Mexico; cotton plantations had ruined the soil in Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi - slavery was moving West and heading for Texas.

Yes, in large part the defenders of the Alamo died to keep slavery in Texas.

And Mr. Bleek recently advocated that abscure Constitutional provison that promoted slavery in the US? Now he's 2 for 2.
