I would disown, as a member of my gender, any woman who would vote for either one of them. I keep waiting to find out that Michelle Bachmann is really a joke, a practical joke played on us by the media. Maybe we can nominate the twosome as the next Republican ticket.

Women do despise female republicans. Its like gender heresy. Blacks despise black republicans. It turns out the only group that doesnt vote as a bloc for one party or the other is the educated white male. Consistently educated white males (and white males at large) vote between 49% and 51% for either party.

As a white male, I could be a little insulted by your post, west0605. At first glance, it looks as if white males are the only demographic ignorant enough to vote in significant numbers for the GOP.

Fortunately, I see myself as an individual more than a member of any voting bloc, and I understand a lot of GOP voting psychology from seeing it close-up.

The GOP promotes distribution of wealth and power to a very small group, this group is almost exclusively old, white and male. Somehow, they're able to convince millions of white men who are not in this elite group to vote based on the idea that they could be.

I think it's hard to use that sort of identity politics with groups who are more obviously excluded. While the GOP may not give a funk about the majority of Americans, they are able to fool many of them by merely having spokespeople who are the same color and sex as the white male voter, and so are able to garner some votes based almost entirely on Identity POlitics.

The GOP doesnt promote that distribution of wealth, the distribution of wealth IS THE WAY IT IS. An outside force (such as progressive taxes) has to intervene to externally REDISTRIBUTE wealth.

So, you think progressive tax structures are "outside forces", but the GOP's policy of tax breaks for the super wealthy at the expense of the middle class is just "nature's way" or a default position?

              You'd make a good pet.

Do you know what a progressive tax structure is? If you and I both make $100 and taxes for us are 20% we both pay $20 in taxes. Problem is, if I make $1,000 I dont pay 20% or $200 (far more than you). I pay much more. How is that a tax break?

There's not nearly enough time or space here to clear up your confusion. Read up on past tax policies and their economic results (preferably from some credible sources).

I'd also suggest going over some past MMFA items on the subject, especially the comments.

Well, it doesnt really matter that "Fortunately, [you] see [yourself] as an individual more than a member of any voting bloc" because you vote with 49% - 51% of the populace. I'm sure every black man thinks he votes as an individual as well, but he doesnt. The Republican black or woman voter not only thinks like an individual, he/she acts like an individual.

Are you drunk, or is this your normal thinking going on here? What the hell are you trying to say? That it's impossible to do something as an individual unless you're doing the opposite of what the majority of those in some designated group are doing?

What a ridiculous premise. Does that mean that since I'm a white man, I can't possibly act like an individual, since my demographic is split pretty evenly? But black people and women can be individuals because their groups skew harder to one side of the political spectrum?

I hope you didn't spend to much time brainstorming on this little theory.

"Good looking" has nothing to do with it. Palin was good looking to me till became a VP candidate. That's when her physical attributes became irrelevant.
I did not have to be a lefty to get to that conclusion.
A (former?) porn star, Stormy Daniels is better looking than Palin (or Bachmann) and is vying for public office.
I sincerely do not believe that Stormy's left/right affiliation would drive me crazy.

Someone needs to embed this clip in an online dictionary under softball journalism. Bachmann is a proven nut. She generously has proved it to us time and time again on videos. What drives me crazy is not knowing the next factually inadequate fallacy chalked full of crazy that will come out of her mouth next so I can have a punchline for it.

Now O'Reilly is sounding like Kelly LeBrock from those 80's shampoo commercials: "Don't hate (her) because (she's) beautiful!"

First off, I haven't heard one liberal go after Bachmann or Palin because of their looks. They go after these two because they want to turn the clock back fifty years, to the era of segregation and back-alley, coat-hanger abortions, when women "knew their place". Bachmann and Palin are just as bad as any male-chauvinist pig, and the only ones bringing up their looks are conservatives! Liberals could care less! And secondly, beauty is a matter of opinion. What could be good-looking to some might not be so good-looking to others, and not everyone finds Bachmann and Palin so attractive. Even a shallow jerk like O'Reilly should know that (and personally, I think Bachmann looks terrible. As for Palin, I find her rather plain and bland-looking).

I agree with you, Toombsie. I don't know if it's somebody's personality turning me off so badly that they become ugly in spite of their looks, but I don't see anything in Bachmann at all. She gets the make-up piled on thick enough on her Fox appearances that she has a good mannequin look, but that's not really her.

Same with Palin, just bland, artificial -wholesome look to me. Not pretty or ugly, just "zero". I think I met enough of those empty-shell girls growing up in a conservative area. Inferior products often rely on shiny packaging.

But what is BilldO's point anyway? That women all vote (D), and he thinks Palin & Bachmann are moving votes to the (R)'s simply because they're women who have kids? And this somehow "drives the left crazy"?

Once again, the wingnuts try to analyze other people based on their own limitations and shallow views.

Go ahead, GOP, put these two on your ticket. Throw in Michael Steele and Bobby Jindal for cabinet positions, maybe the dark-skinned folk will automatically vote for them, if your logic works. And Lieberman, get him in, he should lock in the Jewish vote, squeeze him in there someplace.

Drive me crazy, GOP. Make my day. ha.

Both look good? I don't know, I never seen them without make-up. But now that I know them, both are very ugly people due to their racist idiology and character.
Bill has a twisted mind if he thinks beauty is driving the "left crazy". That means Bill overlook the stupid stuff that comes out of their mouth.
Maybe it is lust that drive Bill to think these harlots are something more than boneheads.

It's true, O'Reilly, we lefties tend to become unhappy with people who repeatedly tell blatant lies about us just so they can try to score political points.

      We're kinda weird that way.

By extension, I guess this means that O'Reilly never becomes unhappy when he thinks someone or some group tells lies about him? I guess he must really love "the far left" and groups like Media Matters? Otherwise he would be a complete hyporcrite.

No, Bill, it's YOUR obsession with women that is showing. You take every possible opportunity to show B-roll of scantily-dressed beautiful women. You sexually harass women working for you (falafel, anyone?). It is YOU that accepts every lunatic, psychotic, bigoted, dishonest, deranged, dizzyingly stupid thing that come out of their mouths, not us. It's what they SAY that we don't like; it doesn't have anything to do with their appearance.
