      So, his point is?

To me, it looks like America doesn't need to give the one fingered Bush salute to the rest of the world to effectively fight terrorism.

Bush spent much of his 8 years in office on his ranch in texas clearing brush or sleeping. If he did spend 8 years fighting terrorism, why are we still in both countries we invaded? Didnt Bush say Afghanistan would take like 2 months and Iraq would be in and out. I think they expected everyone to welcome us with open arms.

After eight years of Bush's efforts to "fight terrorism" there were more people in the world that hated than there were before. Way to freakin' go, W.!

If nothing else, I love that this is bothering the Right this much!

Bush never did get around to tell us all WHO we were fighting in his war on terror? What country? How will we know when we've WON the war? Anyone know?

Appears our 'wartime President' attempted to use our military kill everyone in the world that hates the United States?

We all know the RW is seething because George W. Bush was not given this award, dont we . .

Of course he did - he just haphazardly listed like eight countries that his dad told him about a decade prior and said it in every news conference grouping the countries together and calling them the axis of evil. Im sure they didnt mind though especially since some of the countries had nothing to do with one another politically, economically, geographically, religiously or culturally so it wasnt like we were stepping on toes or crossing any line and most of this info was denied by the CIA and every one outside of the administration but that info like the whole WMDs are in iraq story didn't need to be confirmed because they had that gut feeling that whoever isn't capitalist and has oil or a nuclear program must be attacked. We should just count our blessings that we didnt invade a third - at times, north korea or iran looked pretty close to being targets as part of the axis.

yes i for one am glad to see that he is actually protecting us citizens of the United States.

and making friends of the country's that support terrorism is a good effect way of fighting them as well. its call diplomacy and its has worked out very well for the world so far. sure some speed bumps.

They just don't get it that we are safer when more countries support us and assist in monitoring their citizens for terrorist activity..It's so obvious that this approach helps but they can't see the forest for the trees!!

I will put down any amount of money that the next terrorist attack on this country will be found out to be directly related to hatred of the US for the two wars that we have fought this decade. The reason Afghanistan was so messed up in the first place and would harbor terrorists is because last time when we used their neighborhoods as our little fake background battlefield to aid in fighting for the real cold war, we won which is kind of irrelevant most likely and then, we just bounced - no infrastructure, average age of the country was like somewhere in the 20s (really low) no one was even remotely educated, most people were living in rumble and they had just been in a constant state of warfare for decades in a row. So they of course had a civil war and that real young uneducated population turned out to be a future problem. Who would have thought a country without any infrastructure, multiple uneducated warring factions in a state of constant war wouldnt be able to pull themselves together?

Well, truth be told, Scott's right.

After all, it doesn't take much to undo brush clearin', reading to schoolkids, and a photo op in a flight suit and codpiece -- just hard work.

Obama is restoring our rights. Those like you who give up their rights for safety deserve neither.

I like the way this guy gave so many examples of how GWB fought "terrism", and likewise all the examples of how those swell efforts are being undone by the present President.

As thorough as we can expect Fox to be, I suppose...

Yeah. Bush did really well except for, you know, 9/11 itself.

After 9/11, he did all he could to make up for his glaring National Security incompetence by punishing Americans by starting the first war of choice EVER, illegally listening to phone conversations, trampling the rights of American citizens...

How about putting America ahead of party for a change and acknowledge that we have a supurb man in charge who is bright, articulate, patient and doing his best to untangle the giant mess Bush left.

Oh, wait. This is Faux news.

Yeah, that brush in Midland had an America-hating look about it. I'm glad Bush spent so many years fighting it rather than doing all that boring presidentiating stuff.

The terrorists used to come at Bush through the floorboards of the white house. I seen it! He would get out of bed at 9 PM all drowsy from 2 hours of his 12 hour nightly sleep and go running down the halls screaming DICK What do I do, theres monsters I mean terrorists under my bed!!! And cheney would stop running the country for a minute to tuck him back in and read him a story about reagan winning the cold war and saving us all from communist fascist anarchists by giving all our money to the richest people in the country like the bush family and he would fall asleep in Rove's arms who was hiding from another controversy. His fourth that week which he called the usual.
