Everyone is missing the fact that you don't have to be a President to win the Prize so what does his days in office have to do with anything.

Also, Obama has been letting people know his agenda the entire 2 years he was campaigning. Him becoming President only elevated his platform. He was working towards nuclear disarmament as a Senator.

Very salient point. I actually did think of it. But it seems like most of the media have missed it.

The right wingers keep asking "What has Obama done?" They must not know that it is not all about what one has already accomplished but also their potential.

          From Nobelpeaceprize.org

According to Nobel’s will, the Peace Prize is to go to whoever “shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”

It may have changed over the years, but originally is had entirely to do with what one had already accomplished.

I think this is more about conveniently dropping any and all facts for the purpose of having a temper tantrum. Rachel Maddow did a segment last Friday about this and how we might be looking at "Obama Derrangement Syndrome".

the right kind stand any validation of President Obama

they celebrate anything that can paint him as a failure
      *high unemployment
      *stock market drops
      *2016 olympics

they denounce anything that is good for the president or the US
      *Nobel Peace Price
*Hostages freed by the N. Koreans
      *Health Care reform

When Rush Limbaugh was asked in his now famous interview... "is there anything that President Obama has done that you approve of?" His answer was no.
