And you're an old man who probably uses Medicare. Pat, if you do use Medicare, will you give it up and pay for your own health care since, you know, it's government run?

Obama is nowhere near a socialist, get a grip you old coot.

Contributions must be running low in Evangelist Nutbag Land. Pat needs to scare his herd of bluehairs into sending him more money.

To extend Magnolialover's point, how much of the money Pat rakes in comes from little old ladies who are living on Social Security? I'd like to see the numbers.

Pat should be ashamed of himself. He got the nerve to call himself a man of God. Pat needs a bible interpetator to translate God's words and meanings.

Obviously Pat is purpetrating a fraud and he is putting politics before faith. Does he not know God words and his his position on the "least of us"? There is no justification for these remarks.
Pat is a total hypocrite who believes what he watches on Fox News.

Yeah, definitely rushed through. I remember thinking "wow, this bill is being rushed through so fast" during all the town hall madness. And during the 9/12 protests.

Frankly, the sooner this thing gets passed, the better it will be for the GOP. Their behavior so far is going to really come back to haunt them come 2010, and then again in 2012.

I wish there was a provision in the bill that let us pull the plug on people like Pat.

Anyone who objectively analyzes Jesus' discourse, parables, actions and narratives in the NT would have to conclude that He had a "socialist bent", especially on things like health care and poverty. Of course, they didn't call it that back then. In today's political categories, Jesus would be difficult to characterize. He was post-partisan before His time I suppose, taking a liberal view on social services regarding the young, the elderly, the poor and the sick, while taking a conservative, yet forgiving and tolerant, view on moral matters.

Robertson, et.al. are modern-day versions of the Pharisees back in Jesus' day. They practice a form of narrow selective theology that filters out the "socialist bent" of Judeo-Christianity, while amplifying the morally conservative elements in a grossly intolerant and self-righteous fashion. They refuse to practice a holistic theology that integrates all dimensions of Jesus' teachings. This truly unfortunate circumstance may stem from their unholy alliance to only one Party.

While I can agree with your initial words, Don, your second paragraph bespeaks a covert parallel to what Pat Robertson smarmily uses to cover his anti-Semitic rhetoric. Your “Robertson, et.al. [sic] are modern-day versions of the Pharisees…” demonstrates a lack of knowledge about Judaism. The Pharisees or Pharisaic sect became, what is known as, “Rabbinic Judaism”, the forerunner of traditional Judaism. The basis of all forms of contemporary Judaism. You then conflate matters with “…a form of narrow selective theology that filters out the "socialist bent" of Judeo-Christianity, while amplifying the morally conservative elements in a grossly intolerant and self-righteous fashion.” If you’re trying to address Pat Robertson and others of his ilk, those hypocritical, foaming-at-the-mouth while grimacing, anti-Semitic Christian phonies, do so. Just don’t include anything Jewish, unless you know what you’re talking about.

And why do we even pretend to care about what this senile old grifter thinks?

Pat Robertson--soon to be occupying the space reserved for him in Hell.

Seriously, whenever this guy dies and is nearing the Pearly Gates, he will be very suprised to see the people he vilified standing in line in front of him. But don't be alarmed when St. Peter tosses him out of pre-Heaven and sends him back to earth to be born gay and have to live until he is 80. Then, when he returns to St. Pete, I wonder if he'll repent for being a jerk the first time around.

The story goes that Jerry Falwell arrived at the Pearly Gates when St. Peter was taking a break. Freddie Mercury was standing in for Pete, and he tole ole Jerry to go to Hell.

If this bill was rushed, I cringe to think of the scenario in which the bill would gently flow through congress. The final bill just came out of committee TODAY - Obama was hoping for a vote from both houses before August. We are still months away from what Obama wanted two months ago. yEA Baucus was really hustling it up in there - it only took him two months to try to garner some republican support which he didn;t even really do in the end as snowe still wouldn't actually vote on this bill in its final passage and definitely won't after the more democratic bill is melded with this one. They say rushed through congress, I say barely moving through congress as a molasses moves quicker. Amazing how different two perspectives can be on the exact same issue.

You can kiss my a** Pat, you right wing extremist, millionaire piece of s***.

I've seen my employer based, for profit health insurance premiums jump 33% higher in the last two weeks. On the heels of that, my wife was discharged today from the hospital during a complicated pregnancy because she cost Anthem too much money to keep her there. Our doctor had to do what she was told by these punks even though her better judgment was to keep my wife there longer for observation. We had no choice and we will still be paying for her hospital stay for months.

To hell with your cries of socialism, you disgusting pig. Insurance companies are creating undue pain and suffering for millions of people just to satisfy billion dollar profits and million dollar bonuses. For the sake of all that's humane, insurance companies need to be replaced by an American healthcare plan that will not discriminate against us low income workers.

In America nobody should go broke because they get sick.

Maybe your Jesus worships money, Pat, but my bible says otherwise.
