Sounds like a lose lose situation to me...
We have soo much in common! ;)
I think they would though. I mean, either they think he's a racist so they won't work for that, or in Rush's words, they are too stupid to think for themselves. Who wants to work for a boss who tells a national audience that any player who doesn't agree with him is an idiot? Rush is killing his investment before he makes it, not too bright in my book.
But no one ever accused me of thinking Rush was smart! ;)
But I don't think Limbaugh will end up being an owner so it's probaly moot anyway.
Miz Julia told me about your job. Happy to hear you'll be working but it sucks you have to be away from your family. Hope something opens up closer to home for you :-)
On a related note, I saw something interesting at Red State. In an item entitled Media Smears Rush Limbaugh, Considers Wikiquote to be a Reliable Source., RedState shows only one source to support this headline. That source is FoxSports, specifically an article by Jason Whitlock.
Whitlock , supposedly writing an opinion on Rush's racism, focuses on two statements by Boss Hogg that seem to be unverified, largely ignoring the long list of documented racist remarks by Rush.
Whitlock also includes the source for his quotes, and adds that they're disputed.
Judging by the comments at RS, none of the posters BS detectors went off at all.Is Fox using their Sports division to throw red meat at the wingnuts, having a black man write inflammatory articles using the least verifiable Rush comments to pose as another "Race Hustler"?
The quotes in question are described as "self-evident fabrications" and "de-bunked". They're actually simply not verified, dependent on proving a negative, and that would have been the responsible way to describe them.
Referring to one writer at FoxSports as "The Media" is pretty slimy as well. Compare to MMFA, who, when referring to "The Media" in a headline, normally cite several mainstream news outlets, and when reporting on a single source, identify that source in the headline (Hannity falsely claims..")
Additionally, Rush's McNabb comments are described as decidedly not racist at RedState, so I'd guess that even if remarks like the posthumous Medal of Honor for James Earl Ray were true, the faithful Dittobots would be unable to see racism there either.
This may be a new tactic from the Fox/GOP machine, installing stooge columnists on their affiliated sites, using the weakest attacks against Rush to create ready-made strawmen for the Fox and Rush supporters to go after.
Remember when he mocked Michael J. Fox? There was a video that was all over the internet, and he STILL denied it.
What a putz.
