What does it mean then? Does it mean football is too violent? I'm sure he'll come up with some spin but nobody will be buying it. Even his true believers will know he's just trying to put one over on us.

He meant NFL players are thugs. Well, that's what he meant when he said it. Now, he's trying to convince us that's not what he meant. Maybe he just meant to say that NFL players wear colorful uniforms. Yea, that's it... ;>)

Repeating a rightwingnut TV/radio host's words verbatim = "taking out of context"

Remember, wingnut definition of 'taking out of context' means "not including the voices in my head".

They are both black gangs, BTW. You can find other races in them, but yes, they are black gangs.

LOL...! Now Limbaugh is groveling he wants this NFL team do badly. Sorry, Rush, but your history of divisive, racially-charged statements is well recorded. And the NFL isn't going to risk the kind of divisiveness and controversy that you purposely cultivate. You should have thought of that before you decided you wanted to buy an NFL team. It's about personal responsibility, Rush.

BTW, Rush, I was hoping you failed...

Isn't it interesting that these players who are speaking out now, weren't speaking out against him before. That's because they believe in FREE SPEACH. They were letting him feel free to run his mouth. Now they're practicing their free speach. I hope you fail Rush!

This is so despicable. This man has made a CAREER out of taking peoples quotes out of context in SUBSTANTIVE WAYS that CHANGE the actual meaning of the quote!

What possible context could change the meaning of THIS?! It's just not that deep! Whatever you might have MEANT to say, this was a stupid way to say it. MORE SO if you were trying to do something OTHER than make a stupid racial joke!

MMFA always provides several minutes of the broadcast both before and after whatever quote they're calling out. If you can't establish proper context in that amount of time...

Word already coming down that Limbaugh's been removed (pushed, thrown, kicked-out, forced to walk the plank) from the ownership bid. Not really a surprise as every now and then what you say comes back to bite you.
