      "Cool, daddy, cool"

Sounds more like something Beatniks used to say. Ok, dating myself...maybe Rush is too. Ha! ;-)

Hell maybe rappers say that too?

Its fits with his "Right On, Right On, Right On" comment he made a fews ago. Can you imagine him in a room full of African American NFL players with his "cool Daddy Cool, Right On" nonsense

Devastating news: ESPN reports that 99.23% of professional athletes would rather play for Marge Schott than Rush Limpaugh.

And...Rush's reaction to the bad news reminds me of a spoiled brat teenager whose dad won't buy him a Porsche because he flunked math...so he's pitching a temper tantrum.

It just occurred to me how bad Rush Limbaugh must feel right now. Not only does he not get to be an NFL owner, a position he he says he greatly treasured, but now he also has to suffer the indignity of all the talk shows and liberal bloggers publicly making fun of his failure. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....

BTW, I was hoping you failed...along with millions of other rational, decent Americans.

It's amazing that this is the one thing that miht break him. This small thing could drive him back to pills. If he apologized for all the things he said he might have a chance but if he does that Beck is King and he will be gone for good. He is left with no choice but to kick and scream and it seems to be taking it's toll pretty fast.

I was thinking along the same lines, too. I really am surprised at his reaction to this...he's mad. But, of course, Limbaugh's tone about everything has become increasingly angry and bitter. But, back to the point, this is an embarrassing public failure for the man who has many of his followers that he is invincible. Guys like Limbaugh get rich and they start believeing their own hype.

Can someone tell Rush that we stopped talking jive in the 70s? He must have been watching "Airplane!" or something...

I was thinking the exact same thing...jive turkey.

Nothing illustrates exactly how out of touch Rush is with average Americans of all colors, but especially blacks, when he tells us that black men are saying "Right on, right on" or "Cool daddy, cool". You have become Citizen Kane, Rush. An empty being with no sense of reality. All of the money in the world cannot fill that void, Rush. There is a piece of me that still feels empathy for what you will face when on your deathbed.

I saw this a little differently. Rush was on some tv interview, I think yesterday, where he threw in a "daddy-O". I've never heard him speak this way in the past, he seems to be using these outdated words since the "right on" bus fight comments.

I think he's creating another one of his after-the-fact Orwellian histories, he knows how lame the "Right On" remarks were, so he may be trying to create the illusion that he says these things ironically.

I know, not real convincing to sane people, but to the chronologically-impaired Dittoheads, it may work. Remember, they were able to copy & paste Rush's backpedaling from his "phony soldier" comments (made days after he was busted) and try to say that the words were out of context without the later defenses and explanations added.

Col., I caught that interview. I too, thought wow now if confronted with that bus remark, he can claim that he always speaks like that. wow great minds always.....ha He has never been concerned about making an even bigger fool of himself when doing his back peddling. I also thought he definitely looked and acted like he was on drugs. He has such beady, evil eyes.

Remember, Robyn, Rush only needs to fool a small fraction of the American public to keep his radio show going. It's possible he believes himself, but it might just be that he knows he only needs to come up with a scam good enough to convince those gullible enough to think Rush is an anchorman.

I don't get that complaint. Are rappers automatically offensive? Also the NBA owners are a different group than the NFL owners. Apples to oranges.
