Brilliant. She votes against the interests of the insurance vampires, and she's stabbing America in the back. "The people be damned?" Mikey's got a pretty narrow definition of "the people."

Man, I've got to quit or I'll stop laughing and get pi$$ed.

She didn't even vote for the legislation. She just voted for the bill out of committee and then, made sure to state that she wouldn't even support it on the floor of the senate. So when it is melded with the far more democratic bill of the senate health committee, I am absolutely positive that not a single republican senator will be in favor despite two months of pandering and a HUGE waste of time. Bipartisan support is like a world free of its reliance on oil - You can kind of vaguely picture it in your head but it will NEVER be a reality any time even remotely soon. Im pretty sure Most of the repugs wouldn't vote for a thing if it was titled healthcare reform and passed under Obama even if they caved into every single demand. Therefore, trying to gain republican support is a gigantic and tremendous waste of time for a legislative body that moves like molasses to begin with.

I don't knopw if she voted against the interests of the insurance industry. The Baucus bill sounds like a big giveaway to the insurance industry. Of course they want a bigger giveaway which is why they're opposing it.

I hope you understand that this is a trick. Making the news about Snowe's vote makes it seem like the Dem's got what they wanted. They were screwed over and the whole Snowe thing is just to keep you busy. When you realize the damage that has been done it will be too late. Just look at how weak they are fighting now. It even feels like they have given in when you know they haven't.

Michael Savage and M. Rotten Levin flipped a coin to decide which of them was the most useless person on Earth.

The coin stood on edge. :-)

This is the dumbest quote Ive ever heard by snowe. I read it and hear it and it still make zero sense to me.

Your not an impediment to their will. You are an impediment to America's will. Look at the polls - the entire country supports reform basically and over 50 percent continue to support a public option which is not in this bill. This bill is also the most lacking in reform of the 5 bills in congress. So Baucus essentially spent two months trying to find bipartisan support and in the end, one republican in the committee votes for it on the way out of the senate finance after a grueling and exasperating event which was the senate finance actually composing their bill. Now, all we have to do is meld the two bills in senate together and the 3 bills in house, vote on both, meld all 5 together and walah - healthcare reform by 2020!! I dont know if there is anything more dysfunctional and inept than a democratic controlled congress. There are the blue dogs which might as well be republican and the republicans which might as well be standing by the door blocking people from entering because they have no interest in anything but failure and obstruction.

AND SNOWE DID NOT EVEN LEND HER SUPPORT TO THE BILL! She actually said she would not vote for it on the senate floor and expressed displeasure at the final result not being to her liking ENOUGH. So I guess holding the majority and pandering to a single member of the opposition and changing the actual reform to cater to them doesn't necessarily yield any positive whatsoever. the last of the corrupt posers in congress who has 6 out of his top 10 contributors directly opposed to any legit form - drug, insurance and medical supply companies. So of course he will pretend to pander - whatever comes off as sounding like a legit excuse to remove himself from the democratic stance. And this bozo has the nerve to complain that this process is not representing his POV- actually your entire party is useless, lazy, epileptic, schizo, religious, right-wing nuts who have zero interest in any of this except to obstruct, deter and destroy the reform. tHERE IS your representation right there!!

Its ironic that he implies that the government is not following the will of the people when in fact, making sure to implement a public option is the will of the American people and not tossing healthcare reforom in the garbage as this toad would have you think.

Well done, Sharpe. As I said, the Wienerwald has a narrow view of "the people." I'm pretty sure we're not included. I'll try to get to sleep tonight in spite of that blow.

Yea by the people I could only assume he means his own views and those of FOX and Limbaugh. These views are represented by the minority blocking the door when the dems try to enter congress each day - the obstructionists and destructionists of the republican party. They represent the tiny minority of tea party goers in this country for government to not do anything at all while Obama is in office. Its a really strategic plan but will it work?

Only in america are two wars wholeheartedly supported by the majority of the public and both parties in congress which resulted in the government dedicating countless dollars to everyone but the American people but an attempt to fix our broken healthcare insurance plans who are eroding this countries healthcare from within in which we would actually spend tax payer dollars to help TAX PAYERS is met with vehement opposition. Such is the pervasive stupidity and ignorance that encircles the American public that they can believe FOX news without hesitation or requiring any proof no matter how outlandish but wouldn't believe their president if he provided them with 30 birth certificates and the placenta. Its sickening how ignorance can be used to combat progress even today. Its not wonder American history is chalk full of extreme fear and hate and stupidity over race, religion, culture, socialism or anything else presenting as foreign or unknown or changing. EDUCATION REFORM NOW!!

If the right wing is wondering, this is why obama has to apologize. This is where your so called apology tour is stemming from - moronic comments like Savage's which come across to other countries like we are beyond help and can't get out of our own way.
