So, Beck, name the names that love Mao, Chavez, Che, et all. You can't. Why? Because you're full o' crap.

So Glenn, when Bush appointed Christian Reconstructionists (those who want to replace the Constitution with the Bible) to high level posts, why didn't cry treason then?

            Haven't heard about that, eh?
Here's a link for you to explore & passage from same:

"The implementation of Biblical Law is central to the mission of building the Kindom of God on earth. The way to get to Biblical Law is through politics. Therefore, God's law as manifested in the Bible should govern. References to the Ten Commandments are more than symbolic. It reflects a belief that the Bible, not the Constitution, represents the final legal authority..."

He continues on to show a video of Anita Dunn naming Mao as one of her two favorite role models in front of what Beck says are high school students (to her credit, she also names Mother Teresa).

Beck is a filthy liar. She's not talking about Mao being a "favorite role model." She was talking about admiring him as a philosopher and made it clear that she thought his regime was apalling.

Wow, I had no idea Mao Zedong statues were popular and widely available in San Francisco gift shops. I haven't been to San Francisco itself in quite some time but I did recently paruse some gift shops in Sausalito across the bay and I didn't see one. Maybe Beck's talking about Chinatown?

I have a cousin in Tiburon who's lived in the Bay Area for a couple decades now, I'll have to ask him if he's ever seen one.

I live in the Bay Area. Mao's been in gift shops in Chinatown for decades, sure. So what's his point? Its like saying they're selling Buford Pussar statues in Tennessee! This is AMERICA baby. You can sell whatever sells. Just look at his show.

I wus lookin' high an' low for them Reds everywhere,
I wus lookin' in the sink an' underneath the chair.
I looked way up my chimney hole,
I even looked deep inside my toilet bowl.
          They got away . . .

Well, I wus sittin' home alone an' started to sweat,
Figured they wus in my T.V. set.
          Peeked behind the picture frame,
Got a shock from my feet, hittin' right up in the brain.
          Them Reds caused it!
          I know they did . . . them hard-core ones.

Well, I quit my job so I could work alone,
Then I changed my name to Sherlock Holmes.
Followed some clues from my detective bag
And discovered they wus red stripes on the American flag!
          That ol' Betty Ross . . .

There is nothing wrong with selling what sells, the point is why is is so popular in the first place? After all, there enough people like Che T-shirts and allegedly Mao statues enough that someone invested the money to make them, and people are buying them. The point is it is a symptom, and we aren't going to make the symptom go away by suddenly banning posters and bags with faces mass killers on them, but by becoming more educated.

I love my country and it'd be a shame to have our great Union divided. However, I'm starting to come around to the idea that it might be a good thing if Texas (or some other red state) were to secede, as long as they took the likes of Beck with them....

Excuse me, but the MAJORITY of TEXANS think that Rick Perry is an idiot. That's why the MAJORITY of us didn't vote for him in the last election . . . 61% of us, in fact. Don't condemn an entire state for the stupidity of a few. It's getting REALLY, REALLY old.

I actually watched around half of this about an hour and a half or so ago, and my nine-year-brother was in the living room, too. I kept seeing his face contort when he made those stupid voices, and when he begged his listeners to "please listen." So I asked him, "Do you think he's pathetic?"

      His answer? "Yes."

A few minutes later, after some more of Becky, my brother—of his own accord—popped out the statement, "He's so stupid." When elementary kids can't understand you Beck, it's a sure sign of something.

Beck cried again today. He was crying talking about children. Yesterday or today (his shows run together for me)on his radio show a celebrity called in and said what hooked him on Beck was an episode where he broke down talking about his daughter... I think he spoke with his producer friends and said something along the lines of, "we need to expoit this, if it's winning me mainstream friends." Maybe a conspiracy theory, impossible to prove, but It's uncanny.

Mao dolls in San Francisco? Gives me something to do this weekend. Find one of these dolls. Then I can wear my Hugo Chavez shirt while reading Che.

Y'all want to know what else they have in San Francisco? A Seventh Day church. Which is closely aligned with Beck's own belief's.

Sure Mao is revered in China, and mocked, and loathed too. It depends on who you talk to.

It's undeniable that he unified China. Those who suffered under his policies are glad he's gone. Many of a certain age views him rather critically, as an idealist who got corrupt. Most young people just want to make money. The have no time for the Little Red Book. For them he is a cartoon character of sorts. His image is on huge amounts of junk merchandise sold everywhere and it's got nothing to do with worship. He's a caricature more than an icon.

This is the problem with having Beck discuss an issue. Anything he says will be simplistic and represent only a part of the facts. Come to think of it, that's probably why he's so popular.

Very small crowd of tea baggers. Real life tea baggers. I had seen them on TV... but it's different in person. These people are real. They do exist. They are proud of their ignorance and paranoia.

Only in America can such idiocy survive. What got me, though, was how small the crowd was.

I think the FOX legal department has warned him about that, "inciting a riot" etc but more insideous is his use of the suggestible listeners to carry his message of confusion. Within that group there is always the one nut job who will be violent.

Throughout the whole show Beck was saying that he set up a special phone just for Dunn to call him to tell him when he said something was wrong. He wants his viewers to think that he deserves a phone call, regardless of how disrespectful he is.

The worst part of this strategy, which I am sure is not obvious to his fans, is that he can now say anything he wants: The sky is red, and if I'm wrong Obama, call me and tell me. Nobody's calling so I must be right! The sky IS red because Obama hasn't called to disprove it.

Great logic for Glenn Beck fans!

I don't know why Beck bothered with a phone. Why not just stick a coat hanger in his tinfoil hat, set to White House frequency, and accept any incoming telepathic messages from Dunn?
