Here we see another example of the strawman argument. If Jennings really was guilty of what they allege he's guilty of, then we would likely agree with them. But there's no evidence of that.

King's letter said "Kevin Jennings cannot gain the approval of parents who want their children safe and their schools drug free. You should replace him with someone who has a record of educating children in a safe and moral environment."

Jennings does have that record though. The 'moral' thing for a teacher to do when he hears about a teenager who is of legal age of consent for sexual interactions is to protect that teenager's privacy unless he believes that abuse is happening! Teachers are held to a higher standard. They have to be committed to be safe sounding boards for students - they have to make teenagers feel secure that the teachers will keep their confidences, so that those teenagers will come to them with problems and issues!

But here's what the letter also said that Hannity didn't tell his viewers, and this is the same problem he had two weeks ago!

Mr. Jennings recounts a 15-year old student confiding in him that he had a sexual relationship with a much older man. Mr. Jennings' only response was to ask if the underage boy used a condom. As a mandatory reporter, Mr. Jennings was required by law to report child abuse, including sex crimes. Mr. Jennings cannot serve as the "safe schools" czar when his record demonstrates a willingness to overlook the sexual abuse of a child.

But Jennings doesn't recount a 15 yr old telling him anything - the kid was 16, so why are they still maintaining that the kid was 15 (and the only time he mentioned "15" was in a talk, not in writing). As a mandatory 'reporter', if the kid was 15, Jennings did need to report it. As the kid was 16, Jennings needed to protect the teenager's privacy, and NOT report it! He didn't "overlook the sexual abuse of a child". If he had, I'd be out for his scalp too - but he didn't.

And Hannity didn't give you this full picture. He left off the lies and distortions from the Republican House members' letter that totally demolishes their argument!

And the argument that a former drug user can't counsel others to abstain isn't likely to go over very well at all the addiction treatment centers around the USA - I think most of those kinds of counselors are former addicts, not simply users.

I'm sure you are not the only person who has taken time to clearly explain this. Unfortunately this does not matter to Hannity and he will keep at it until he gets something. He has been trying one of these for more than a year now and Beck has got the better of him. He will ignore the facts and beat the drum until he gets something.

If that doesn't work out he might have to sabotage Beck because it's his time slot that's under pressure as Beck looks to move up the totem pole and let's face it these guys have no mercy for each other when it comes down to grabbing the big piece of cake.

Using Rep. King's "logic", Alcoholics Ananymous should be disbanded, since its founders (Bill W. And Dr. Bob) were recovering alcoholics.

Fallacy #1: "Kevin Jennings cannot gain the approval of parents who want their children safe and their schools drug free." Oh really? Has anyone asked? The number of congressmen who signed onto the letter being barely over 10% of congress doesn't seem to represent an overwhelming constituency of parents.

Fallacy #2: "..this very important issue...". Eh, not hardly, Shyawn. Unless, of course, you believe that Jennings is going to use the full power and authority of his position of "Safe Schools Czar" to force his way into random schools around the country, whereupon he will then seduce young male students into the world of homosexuality.

Now Seannie can walk away from his quandry/lies about Jennings since he did his job. It is now in the hands of a higher authority.
But he will include Jennings along with Ayers, the Reverend, etc. etc. etc. so that we don't forget that he broke the case.

Thank You Sean, your smear has ended..who's next?

Seanie walk away from a lie? No way. He will continue to rant about it, until we are ready to shoot the victim & then ourselves, just so we don't have to hear about it anymore. How many hundreds of times this past week, has he mentioned the president, finding time to take down Fox news, while "we have two wars going on"? Two wars huh? Who's fault is that Seanie?

Doesn't Hannity hear [CRICKETS] in response to the GOP Jennings letter?

Ain't gonna work THIS TIME, Sean . .

"We believe Jennings is associated with NAMBLA, we'll have to check on that and get back to you."

You voiced your OPINION, your viewers are still waiting for corroboration, Sean . .

I'm not sure I understand how this works. Hannity brings out unknown information about someone in the Democratic machine, and you are outraged? No untruths (aka lies) have appeared in anything said by Hannity, (or FOX News) and you are outraged? Fox News does stories that partisan media will not print to avoid embarrassment to the left, Democrats, or the president, and you are outraged?

Tell you what, you are outrageous, and I'm glad FOX News is around to tell the stories you refuse to print to avoid embarrassing your masters. You are a joke.
